tell us about it, we are trying to get barrow in to hard house / trance or even dirty house that is a task...

if its not chart or chav there is no room for it.......

we usually go to goodgreef in prestion when its on, as barrow is one of the worst places to go at mo.

we will halp you in any way we can just let us know...

(check are profile for the website about us and mixes)

I live in Crewe at the mo. and the music scene is just the same shite here ,unless your in to rock tribute bands (not me) theres a club called limelite which has a good following

ive hadsome cracking nights at goodgeef at phillips park hall and the acadamy in manchester ,
theres always a good recipe for a gr8 night ,plenty of ravers happy on the dance floor(thats me) and plenty of beer boys happy at the bar and next to no trouble out of anyone

im thinking of going to gatecrasher summer sound system this year although the line up isnt out yet it will be amazing i bet ya

Well my forum is slowly getting moving, the most popular area at the moment is the barrow music guide where people have been posting about upcoming events in the town.

There doesnt seem to be much else going on in the town so its hard to get the general chat section going

If anyones from barrow or has any gigs in barrow then check it out.
Thanks

Good luck with setting up any kind of alternative night to the garbage that Barrow folk usually get fed. In other towns and cities, youngsters are into their house, DnB and hip hop. Up here most are happy to dance away to Meatloaf and Chesney Hawkes, simply cos they don't know anything else. That "DJ" in O'Sullivans with his 80s hits tape on repeat wants flogging for crimes to culture. I know there are a few of you trying to get nights up and running but you'll have a task trying to convince the Cornwallis cretins that anything that doesn't appear in their parents' music collection is worth listening to.

I must be going to the wrong pubs! All the late bars, i.e. Cornwallis pubs (excluding Circus Circus) play music from decades ago. O'Sullivans, Kavannahs, Highlander Bar, Scorpios... It goes from Bryan Adams to Bon Jovi to the Grease megamix. Not that there's anything wrong with that as such... drunken folk like to sing along to cheese, fair enough. But every bar, every night, all night for the rest of your life... The rest of the pubs play chart kiddie dance as previously mentioned. I thought the Lounge used to be okay for US house but that was years ago. It's gone downhill in a big way. Did it change hands?

well to us its all crap with talent -less people doing it...they call them selves DJ's but none of them mix or do anything technically clever
