Hi guys,

Just to let you know that Fabe died at 2am this morning. He had been battling cancer for about 18 months.

For those of you that didn't know Fabe, he was the DSI site support manager and one of the best pro-spotters the site produced (I thought he was the best!).

He was a really nice, genuine guy and I really liked him and I'm gutted he's gone! He's left behind a lovely fiancée, Jenny.

I only met Fabe once, at the DSI party a few years ago. He was kind enough to let me in early to enjoy some free drinks with the mods as I had got to London early with Robin. I wish I had the chance to party with him again. RIP big fella.

Those who are remembered are never truly gone.

That is a real fucking shame. RIP dude.

Here's to the only man to have ever put me down. I will toast him at my wedding. Such a lovely bloke and doesn't deserve what he went through. I was only taking the piss out him the other day when he said he was getting better. Stunned.

Such sad news. He left a mark in everyone's life that used DSI and was part of something very special. R.I.P

Yesterday, I looked at the calendar and secretly wished it was April 1st.

First proper conversation (not on DSI) i ever really had with Fabe was at the DSI picnic where he was wrestling with Stew (pics in stews post above). Over the time that followed we had some great conversations about DSI and the amazing people he had met and some of the weird ones.

Best conversation ever was seconds after he had banned a user, he was laughing so hard he could hardly get his words out, he would always make the best of a situation and always had time for people who needed it.

He was a legend in every sense of the word.

I, as will many other, will miss Fabe.

This is my FAVORITE memory of him, some of you will have seen it, some of you wont.

I just can't find the words at the moment, really struggling to come to terms with this news.

He gave me what must have only been 3 or 4 sentences of pep talk when I first turned up on the pro spotter scene, and that was all it needed. Some of what he told me has actually shaped me into who I am since then, on-line and offline.

urgh, totally fucking gutted.

This is such heartbreaking news. His kind nature made him one of the nicest people we all knew. I'm privileged to have known and worked with him over the last 5 years. He was and always shall be remembered as an amazing person. God and his angels truly have the best company up there now, and a fantastic photographer! RIP Fabe.
