Don't Lose The Music !!!!
Since watching that film 'its all gone pete tong', my girlfriend has been a tad worried about my little lug holes. She got this info from one of her clients - RNID. Worth doing the test!

Cheers for the link mate. Just purchased a pair of plugs, have been worried about this for a while now and have noticed a slight ring in my ears. Hopefully sorted.

Cheers

I've had professional ear plugs for a while now and they're awesome

definitely worth it for DJs and clubbers - I have permanant ringing in my ears from too many years of clubbing and the ear plugs will definitely be helping to prevent it getting any worse

thoroughly recommended - despite the price....

Cheers mate, I will stick that up on my site and mailing list.

My ears are bad enough these days as it is. I have one standard straight cannel, and the other is crocked which cause some hearing issues but mostly wax build up. I hate going to the doctors and having my ear syringed!!!

Maybe that's a little too much info.

On the other had I was covering an event back in 2003, and armed with my trusty camera I was birched right in front of a 50K bass bin stack. At the time I got great photos in the big top tent, and it was a great event in general (I love summer time outdoor events), but because of the short period (very short) of time I spent in front of the PA stack I was def in one ear for 3 days. I sh*t myself, as being an Agent, DJ/Producer (not often these days) and freelance IT Consultant, not having hearing would kinda mess things up a little.

Thankfully it came back, and I have been very careful ever since.

Yeah, very useful, thanx.
I take my plugs to every gig I play, but often forget to use them!
Will try harder, I promise.

This is something I know that Tom Allan is also keen on - I've been wearing disposable plugs for a while now (bought from motorbike shops) and I have to say they actually make it easier to talk to people in clubs despite what everyone thinks!

Have now lost count of the number of times now people have come up to me in clubs and shouted "Hello! Can you hear me!?", to be followed by them not being able to hear my quiet reply of "Perfectly thanks!"!

Excellent post, a rare thing, but ALL buddies added
If you're a buddy of mine and reading this, PLEASE do the test.. it only takes about 3 min (despite claiming to take 5) and it's fully automated etc and easy.
It's better to know...

I've been using wax plugs for abotu 6 months and have found them to be extrremely effective, not only in drastically cutting down 'blare', but also helping me hear people talk.

Im saving up for a pair of ER15's which are the industry standard. £165 isn't cheap but you can't put a price on your hearing. Go buy some:
