M.I.K.E., PUSH, PLASTIC BOY are just some of the project aliases used by Belgian DJ and world renowned producer Mike Dierickx alias M.I.K.E. This global dance music icon has enriched the scene with numerous productions. Since 1992 he has released over 150 records under various artist names. Mike released his first track at the age of 18 under the alias Vision Act and from that point on the offers came rolling in. In 1998 he released the PUSH project hit Universal Nation, which went on to become one of the best selling dance singles ever. More hits followed like Strange World and The Legacy. Mike's ongoing success gained him offers to remix names such Oliver Lieb, Moby, Sinead O'Connor, Mauro Picotta or the Bomfunk MC's, and even the task to compose the soundtrack of the film Groove. M.I.K.E. is considered as one of the best DJs on the planet and has performed on events such as Godskitchen and Gatecrasher in the UK, Fura and Vel Farre in Japan, Trance Energy in Holland, Limelight in the USA or at the Love Parade in Berlin. The 11th of October will see M.I.K.E.'s his debut club appearance in the Czech Republic at Musica @ Mecca.
Joining M.I.K.E. at this event will be two young Czech DJs and producers that go by the name of Shape & Dusk. The Shape & Dusk remix of Bjorn Fobelberg's single “The Black Hole In My Heart” was featured in the Juno Records sales chart for a number of weeks, reaching the #2 position, and was supported by Matt Darey, Deepsky, Clubbervision, or Moshic. This summer, their new progressive-trance production “Continuum” was released on the Belgium label Bonzai.
Musica resident DJ Bon Finix will be joining in the action and will warm-up the dancefloor for the main guest.
The downstairs lounge will be brought alive by DJs from Prague's new after-hours club Lax. DJs MarcoS, Subgate a Thonic will take on the decks.
