OK, Where the hell do I start?

As some of you know I have been living in France for around 3 months now in the second largest French city Lyon, (in fact joint second with Marseille). Agreed, i never thought that clubbing would be as amazing here as in the UK but i also never imagined how shit it could be either, despite being the second largest city in France there are no big clubs in the centre of the city they are spead out in the mountains and in places you wouldnt dare venture into, or cant venture into because you dont have a car.

Anyway, my good friend Clem finally drove me and some friends to this club called TITAN where apparently they play hard dance (or techno in french, everything is bloody techno if it is electronic). TITAN is pretty much up a mountain and has a reputation for being 'young' as our fellow frogs point out.

Ok once we got there the lads paid seven quid to get in (with a drink thrown in) and the lasses were allowed in free before midnight. After practically ripping my nipple to the point of bleeding on a bannister (its pierced) we entered into the main arena which was huge (four times bigger than the main room of the Sanctuary) with decent air conditioning, and a banging sound system, and although they were playing commercial electro/house it actually sounded quite good! Or was that just the alcohol?

Anyways at 3am they started bangin out filtyhy hardstyle which was music to my ears but also bizarre as it practically followed fredde le grandes 'put your hands up for detroit' but fuck it everyone was on the dancefloor giving it some (imagine whacking a bit of hardstyle on after a funky electro set at hed kandi everyone would fuck off and sit down) and the night finished at 5pm so it was time to go back to Lyon for an afterclub (the size of my living room) playing some commercial trash.

I have to say this was one of the most amazing venues I have ever been to, the DJs were in this kind of spaceship that kept going up and down in the air and the sound system, and lights were banging.

Before i go it is worth commenting on the fashion there, there was all kinds, cyber, posh, clubwear and this strange thing where people would roll one or two of their trouser legs up and most would be wearing these funky stripey/checked coloured socks and matching 'gloves' that come right up to the elbow. And of course mssive designer shades.

Its just a shame its so far away in the mountains!
