As requested by hw711, Does anyone fancy a DSI meet up for Love Parade?

Yeah, the main reason I was asking is because I am most likely going to be there all by myself (none of my friends can afford to pay the US->Berlin summer airfare). I've never been to Berlin (or Germany for that matter) and don't speak a word of German so it'd be nice to have people to hang out with so I don't get totally lost.

Ahh bless well I'm sure there will be people you can meet up with. I know the group we are going with wouldn't mind you hooking up with us. I know how nerve wracking it is going to a place alien to you. And we have been 3 times now so know all the places to go, train and underground stations to get to etc. So you are more than welcome to hook up ;o)

If people are up for meeting up, I might book my ticket then (if there's any left!!?!), none of my mates are able/interested or can afford to go and thought it was all a bit daunting being there on my todd!
I've been to Berlin before but that was years ago - and have never done a love parade, I know a grand total of 2 German words 'danke' and 'Ja' :-)!!!

Are you going to LFA? I'm still undecided, I need to keep my energy for LP and Lovebase. Alexanderplatz is not far from where we are staying. Do you know what time you are going to go down to Strasse 17 Juni?

I don't know. Like I said, I don't know what else there is to do in Berlin so I'll just go wherever the party is. As for Saturday, I heard the parade starts at 2PM. So maybe a hour before that? I don't have any definite plans so I am really flexible about everything. My only constrain for the weekend is that I have to take the train back to Prague on Sunday so I can't stay out too late Saturday night (ie not past 3AM).

PS. Do you guys think LoveParade will be crazier if Germany wins the World Cup?

I think we will just go down at about 12.00 and walk around get a good spot to watch the parade, stay til about 5.00pm go back to our hotel to change, go see the last of the DJ's at the Victory column, then onto Lovebase.

Thats a shame you can't stay out too late on the Sat...

Sorry, I am American so I'm not crazy about soccer...coughing...I meant football enough to have a favorite. I'm just ruling for whoever will make my trip more fun. If I ever decide to go to England right after any future World Cups, I'll be sure to rule for you guys.

Well we could meet you in Alexanderplatz on Friday afternoon? There is a great big square with steps in front of your hotel that is great for meeting up etc. and its not far from where we are staying. If you can get a phone that would be better. We know Berlin pretty well so any where you want to meet is fine.

Hey Hey Guys, Just got back from berlin, was over for the football. As ever the Germans are ahowing everyone how to have a good time and party for the shear hell of it!! Now all eyes to the Love Parade!!! Cant fucking wait!
