Mid-summer in Germany. 15th July 2006 in Berlin. Loveparade in the Tiergarten. A sea of humanity is dancing to the beats pulsating from stacks of amplifiers on the floats, the music trucks of the Loveparade. A day unlike any other. The biggest open-air party in the world featuring the international stars of electronic music. And with you right there at the centre of it, dancing with your friends on one of the floats? Starting on 26th June Loveparade will be selling a batch of 10 float passes on Ebay. The lucky buyer of these 10 gold dust tickets will be in for the party of a lifetime surrounded by his/her friends right at the heart of the parade. They will be dancing in close proximity to the stars of the DJ scene and will themselves be at the epicentre of proceedings, enjoying a unique view out over the huge spectacle. Bidding for the group float pass on Ebay (www.ebay.de) starts at one euro and ends on 6th July at 12.52 pm.

And while the winners rave it up right at the centre of the action, rubbing shoulders with the club culture organisations, party people of all ilks and float crews from Germany and abroad, they will have the satisfaction of knowing that they are benefiting others. All the money raised from the auction, minus the booking fee, will go to a good cause. McFit, principal sponsor of Loveparade 2006, is donating the proceeds to Drogennotdienst Berlin e.V., which will have 35 staff members at the Parade and a number of information stands at selected locations along the way.

This year’s Loveparade (slogan: “The Love Is Back!) will be held in Berlin on 15th July 2006, from 2pm onwards, on the ‘Strasse des 17. Juni’ [Strasse des Siebzehnten Juni] boulevard. Following a two-year break a new musical concept involving multiple sub-genres, high quality sound and an international outlook has been developed, promising an unprecedented, well-nigh unique event. This electronic music jamboree brings together music lovers and party people from across the world. For one long day people will party peacefully in the inimitable fashion of Loveparade ravers, bathing in state-of-the-art sound and an extraordinary atmosphere.

Nah I wouldn´t wana go on the float even if it was for free, as i would like to see all the floats and mingle with the crowd! I love being right in the middle of things, lol!

Yeah same as me, would hate to be stuck on one of them for 4 hours....but it may make someone happy!!!
