Timewarp. A fantastically brilliant atmosphere!!
It was my first time at this event & definatley not my last!!
If I'm being honest the organisers could do a little bit more to make next years event more enjoyable. First, something needs to be done about rooms 3 & 4, far too small and far too overcrowded. When standing at the bar i could actually hear the music coming from both rooms! The cloakroom was also a bit of a joke, most people were waiting 20-30mins to get their jacket in there, i actually gave up and decided to carry mine around for the night. Also the toilets were absolutely horrific and this was only at 11 o'clock
But to honest all of these negatives still couldn't take away from the atmosphere which words can't even describe. The lighting was unbelievable and just had to be seen to be believed! Not to mention the quality of the DJ's, who were all really up for it! Room V has to be given a special mention as in all my life never have i seen a crowd so into what was going on. When the sun started shining through the room (which was, in effect, a giant glass house) the whole place just went mental. To top this off Laurent Garnier put on the performance of a life time. This was only made better by the fact that several DJ's (Carl Cox & Chris Liebing etc) came in to support the maestro at work.
All in all, I had the time of my life and am already looking forward to coming back next year!

seconded. room 3 and 4 were too small and as you say, at times u could hear music from both rooms.
music was top notch throughout, marco carola was my fav for the night.
the lighting system in room one was unreal. could not believe how fast the night went overall.
my only regret was walking through a side door out of room 3, the door then closed behind me and i couldnt get back it. the bouncers would not let me back in either and i had to leave at about 1030! wankers!!!!!
oh well, i had an amazing time, cant wait to do it again next year.

Garnier last hour was unreal! Vath was on top form as well. Shame rooms 3 & 4 were not bigger but had they been i would have missed some quality sets in the other rooms. Bring on 2009!

full of special surprises!

The light shows were amazing

The free drink tickets confused me all wonked up?

I loved the fruit out corner with the mellon.

The police checked us at the END? random

Manon is HOT! and her set was sex on toast.

Liebing was like a rock concert everyone was going WILD! BEST memory.

Alter ego were like a punch in the chops to! sleazy fest loved it..

Ritchie played michael Jackson-no thanks

Beautiful Magdas set was no were near as good as at Robert Johnson the night/day before and she was not dancing at Timewarp so it was not as happy to watch!

Daddy Cool Sven Vath showed everyone he can still whack the big ones out...:)

as for Villalabos's crew i was so angry and a little moist at how cool they were we had to go home!...good set and sexy time to watch.

Cant wait for next year.

What a fucking weekend! Room 4 really did it for me! ok it was super crowded but it got better after a while. karotte and magda where the bollocks and king ricardo... well he always was my favourite anyway. the guy with the umbrella at the end really did my head and why the hell were they throwing toilet paper at the crowed... carnage ;-)

By the way Alter Ego at room two was unbelivable! these guys really rock my world everytime I see them.

if you guys enjoyed clubbing in germany check out melt and fusion festival as well!

But to be fair it only really affected things when you were moving about near the passage way between the rooms, which in all honesty was very rarely as we were glued to the front of the dancefloor lapping up the delicious yet surreal delights of luciano and villalobos.

AND THEN THERE WAS HAWTIN's CLOSING 2 HOURS.......Mmmmmummy. *ejaculates*

Who ever missed that missed out on a truly special moment in electronic music - period.

This was my second Cocoon / TDK excursion and most definetly not my last, gotta love ze crazy Germans for their efficency.

Agree with most of the comments. The best time was 6am onwards when the best music was played to an amazing atmosphere and half the amount of people of pre 6. For an refreshing uplifting and quite frankly brilliant set - did anyone see Digitalism?? Villalobos was amazing ...... good times

Agreed, I was up the front on the chess board most of the night and didn’t notice the sound from the other room once.

I thought the atmosphere was great in room 3 all night, never felt to crowded or hot (apart from when Villalobos came on, then heat was a bit much) Loved the after party feel to it though.

Amazing, those two hours were unbelievable. One to remember for a long long time. Defiantly would make it back next year.

"gonna beat that bitch with a bat!" excellent close by Richie. Don't remember Jackson being play, but want there for all of the set though. What I did see (most of it) was excellent.

Magda was good. Liebing splendid and the first bit of Cox seems to be warming up nicely (left for Magda) ... wonky night, with some time spent in the monged wasters area (wierd, as was taken there round about the houses in a van, but when I walked outta there, I was just outside the main entrance), the paramedics being a bit over-zealous with the blood pressure monitor, not allowing me to get up, saying that I had to rest (probably true!) ...

Friday was awesome at Robert Johnson, with Richie (excellent 5 hour set!) & Magda ... the residents were ace, crowd excellent and the venue really nice and intimate. I love the balcony wrapped around the whole building, so you can chill out overlooking the lake, or smoke a fag whenever you want to. Spoke to some great peeps and chatted (briefly) to Hawtin again ... shame I missed Magda's set, but my mate wanted to go to save his energy for Timewarp.
