Germany October 2008

The weekend of the 3-6th October saw KRISISDnB make 7 international DJs (NeO, Vitel, MX, Torn, Subsonic, Etch and Krystical) and 2 international MCs (Spitfire, Double MC) as we made the journey to Oldenburg in Germany. Coming along and showing their support for the station were Lowie, Jake, Fleabag and Amy-Jane (A.J.)

Club EX2 in Oldenburg was the perfect venue for us and alongside Chaos Labz (Crank, Starskie, Bonez and Herbaliser) it was a truly memorable event. A relatively small club but a crowd that had the dancefloor and club rammed all night just added to the success of it all.

So much of the thanks for it all has to go to Askart, who has supported the station for 6 months now, found us the club, got in contact with Chaos Labz, did virtually all of the local promotion for it, as well as meeting us at the airport and showing us around the town. We couldnt have asked for anything else really, it really was a superb effort, and I think I speak for everyone when I say cheers.

After a long wait at Stansted airport on the friday night / saturday morning it was good to finally get to Bremen, and annoying as it was at the time its not just uk trains that are ram packed, get delayed or cancelled as we had the same waiting to get to Oldenburg. Still, by lunchtime we were there and had the afternoon to sleep or have a look around the town. Everyone met at EX2 (pronounced locally as 'X2') at 10pm for a few drinks and a warmup on the decks. Subsonic, Krystical and Etch got there by car from Belgium, and pretty much everyone had their KRISIS ON TOUR tshirts sorted.

The 6 hour event went so quickly it was over before it started. The aftermath of a good party was clear to see on the Sunday afternoon when we went back to the club to check things.

Massive shout outs to everyone who came to the night, we hope a bunch of unknown DJs and MCs from the UK gave you something to dance around to. We met up with a lot of good people and hope to see you all again soon.

Highlights of the trip :

- DJ Torn in the wheelchair at Stansted airport keeping himself and everyone amused

- The one and only Lowie (we wont mention the brothel !! hahaha)

- 18 bottles of 5% beer for about 5 euros !!!!

- Askart spinning the first tune of the last hour at EX2 (your face when Crank and me told you was something else but you did class)

- A ram packed dancefloor all night making the whole event a huge success

- Managing to get to the airport in time for the early flight home on Monday
