Its this fanatical eclecticism and tight family of like minded producers that makes UNION a distinctly nu school concept that stands out for its vibrantly varied fusion of styles and viewpoints.

And so it is with this mix which was recorded live at Ed Bangers 7th Birthday in London. The mix flows from the gorgeous romantic sentiments of numbers like Screw Loose and to the cinematic drama of Rotundus Maximus and the punishing Aphex Twin inspired hip hop destruction of West coast Rocks and Android Porn. ‘The joy of this sound is that it’s about making people feel excited and emotional at the same time. You hear these tracks in a club, and your whole body responds. It can be challenging Autchere inspired futurism one minute and then we’ll go for the jugular and drop the harder fucked up tracks and at that point your whole head is going to come clean off!”

“On our last tour there was a whole new generation of kids who were there because they loved big dancey beats but they went crazy when we challenged them with the glitched up stuff! It was a real inspiration to keep pushing the envelope. If there’s anything were trying to say its that clever leftfield dance music can also and destroy the peak time dancefloor.”

With this simple manifesto UNION forge ahead on a path of destruction slaying every club and festival in their wake and building a phenomenally huge worldwide fanbase. Their currently on tour in the US (supporting everyone from Will.i.am to Boyz Noise) and returning to Europe to rock the festivals. With their first EP out in the spring the future’s looking incredibly exciting for these guys and their 25th century sound!

This mix was recorded live for Don’t at Ed Bangers 7th Birthday at the Coronet in London.

UNION’s first EP – ‘25th Century Manifesto’ is out in the spring and is co produced by drum and bass’s hottest ticket and Hospital Records newest superstar MRSA.

This is an absolutely superb mix. great tunes, well put together, I like the rambling almost direction-less progression of it.

The Crunk mix of chainsaw by 16 bit is the highlight for me, wicked tune.

Good work DSI. More original work like this please!

Fuck me, that last track is brilliant. I didn't know that there are people who actually make songs like "we buy any car dot com" for living.
