The Mothership / a night for DJs producers and clubbers
Hi guys

The Mothership is coming up and I'd like to tell you a bit about what's going down.

The Mothership is a club night that draws from lots of areas of dance music.
We look at what's been inspirational, what's been fresh, what has bollocks, and what will go on to influence.

first up we have a fully live set, Atari and all, from Geiom.
Geiom has been causing stirs in the underground for many years, although more so recently with the rising popularity of 'dubstep', Geiom's sound is impossible to label, people will call it dubstep, we just call it IDM, it's forward thinking dubby electronic music, which remains firmly rooted in the UK underground sound.

next up will be the mighty Marc Ashken
London minimal micro techno meastro, from Leftroom, Sarafi and originally Perc, his sets are creative, experimental and refreshing but always maintain a solid edge for the dance floor.

closing the stage will be the mighty Medicine 8
you may remember Medicine 8 from playing a festival or a massive club night somewhere around the world a few years back or from their DJ mag DJ World Series mix CD, well now they are back, with new material and a brand new live show. their sound is big and techy, underground house that gets everyone on the floor and has sparked inspiration inside everyone from Mylo to Soulwax and the whole electro/tech house scene. this show should be seen by all!

in the Studio we have brought over the talents of young Matt Star
German Matt Star has recorded music to the highest of standards, pure, pumping European minimal techno. He is deservedly the master of the moment and his records are played by anyone from Ricardo Villalobos to Richie Hawtin or bashed out at London's top nights like Mulletover or Secretsundaze. We have borrowed Matt from his homes in the best clubs around, including Cocoon, Harry Klein, Watergate or Panorama, he plays them all and he willl go on to be one the biggest producers in the scene, so get in there and check him out in this intimate setting, before Fabric snap him up.

We have Dj sets on laptops/vinyl/what ever from
Spamchop: a techno turntablist! technologically masterful blending styles to an incredible standard.
Sickrebel: laptop set of originall and remixed material from the wonderful fresh Blood Tribe Records
The Minimalists: their knowledge and feel for deep electronics is incredible and a joy to behold for the most hardened clubber or nerdy spotter, meandering through styles but always keeping it deep with a beautifully funky edge.

Corsica Studios
is a superb venue, small enough to feel apart, big enough to do something special.
it's a relaxed environment, away from idiot bouncers, away from over-expensive drinks or policies.

Corsica is an old arts and film studio, so it is perfect to create a special environment, with a full lighting and visual team, we strive to bring something that you have never had before, through film and light installations. With VJs and artists.

Central, it is. It's south of the river, but south, we're talking 10 minutes on a bus to The Strand, 15 minutes on a tube from Old Street. it's a very small price to pay.

We are DJs, producers, promoters and artists, and we live dance music,
so hopefully you can see that we have put the extra extra work in here, to bring you a club night of mega proportions. This project is born out of the frustration of mediocre nights, stupid music policies and stupid genre pigeon holes, so The Mothership approach has to be all or nothing. These are the kind of line-ups you could only hope for in impersonal places like Fabric.

We hope that you will come along, give it a chance and be inspired.
