I hate to pigeon-hole things by date, but maybe it's the most obvious way to communicate it?

hmmm - but the retro 60's category would overlap with say 60's Rock (Rock), psychedelic music, soul, blues.. It'd depends on the genre of the music being played - I know nghts that do 60's, 70's etc but that can be as eclectic or as cheesy as the tunes they play.
