I have been on DSI since pretty much the start. Used to live around the corner (literally) from the Brophy brothers (co-founders of DSI) back when it was starting in Southampton.

My first experience in meeting the London DSI experience involved one night being invited to a birthday party in London of a girl whom I've met on DSI but never met before in real life. So I travelled to the party in London from Southampton on my own on Saturday, on a student budget, met everybody on DSI at the time, was invited back to the afterparty, and for the first time in my life partied tiled Wednesday afternoon... It was the friendliest group of people I've ever met. In fact even when she moved back to Holland I haven't spoken to her in a long time, I was invited to her wedding. Now that's some true DSI bonding!

At my second year Uni, I blew my student loan on having a Birthmonth party. Went to 27 clubs in 31 days. And only big named clubs. House parties and pubs not included. I suffered from sleep paralysis for almost a week after that! Best October EVER! This has largely contributed towards my eventual user name TheWrongun...

I once made (with the help of Iain and Marcus) this fantastic montage image of the DSI Boys containing the profile photo of almost every DSI user at the time as DSI's 2nd Birthday present:



I was also the first ever Event Moderator on the site. Imagine the days when every event added to the site has to be manually checked and enabled before going live on the site. Yep, that's me. I used to add every event at all the major clubs in London to the site; Fabric, Turnmills, The Cross, The Key, Canvas, The Egg, you name it, it was me. It was not until DSI became a lot more popular that more users started adding regular events and it became impossible to monitor every event that the policy changed from proactively checking events to reactive to user requests.

DSI also influenced heavily on my interest in photography, I learnt how to take photos in a club before anything else. I was also privileged with the badge of Pro Spotter and covered many events in the name of DSI such as Creamfields last year! Press pass baby! Although I have since moved onto other fields of photography I am still use DSI as a window to showcase some of my work:
