Que Club...
Many of you have bought up problems with the B2T event at the que club involving the doormen, has it happened at any other events there or just this one?

I am going to write an email to the managment at Que to raise a few concernes with them, what would you guys like me to mention?

Remember not to be nasty as i will be quoting you... Just give me brieff sumary of what happened, which event it happend and any names or descriptions of the doormen.

Most of the time the managment are un-aware of the problems so they just carry on, if we make them aware at least were giving the the chance to resolve the issues.

Hi m8,
This has been raised several times by several different people and it is apparently inherant through out the country with a lot of the big events.
However from what I understand some of these guys went out of their way to make things difficult for the B2T team and customers to either gain entry and / or enjoy their night due to their incorrect door policies and unprofessionalism
I have forwarded this whole incident discussion to numerous friends (30+) all of whom are security personel and all are in agreeance with me in the above statment.
However unless specific badge numbers / names can be produced then there is little that can be done in the context of any form of recompense for lost revenues.
I will support you as much as I can in searching out the legality of their actions and supporting any fundraisers to restore B2T to it's rightful place in the forefront of Hard Dance nights in the UK.

I dont have names or badge numbers so probably not worth it but....

A doorman on the front door at the queclub at around 3am made a comment to a friend of mine about queing he said " in this country we que" my friend is from the phillapenes. He was standing just outside the exit door right by the suspicious looking doorman?man? with a dog. I also very threatened by this doorman?man? as he looked at every raver like he was going to kill us and his dog just kept on barking.

On entry to the que club one doorman picked on my boyfriend about not taking cameras in and others where walking straight through, my boyfriend had to take it back to the car.
Also i witnessed a black male get threatened by a doorman who was by himself... the doorman had made him empty his pockets which is fair enough but he was asking him to undue his trousers in the middle of a bar, surely thats not right? The man refused for obvious reasons so then the doorman called for back up, not one or two or five but about ten doormen surrounded this guy i couldnt see or hear what went on after that but im sure they were upto no good i mean it really needs ten doormen to one guy is beyond me.

I found my time at the que club feeling threatened by these doormen and always keeping out of the way from them as they "man handled" people out of there way. I have never felt as threatened anywhere in my intire clubbing life than the way i felt on this night. Someone correct me if im wrong BUT arent they meant to be their for our health and safety not fr them to make us feel belittled and threatening to throw you out in front of their co-workers.
Unless something gets done about these doormen i and and friends of mine will not be going back to the que club which is a shame because its an awsome venue.

Yeah it happens everywhere but the Que club is a new venue that will be holding alot more big events, if we can point problems out to the managment now then fingers crossed they will be able to sort this so there will be alot less trouble at up and coming events.

However from what I understand some of these guys went out of their way to make things difficult for the B2T team and customers to either gain entry and / or enjoy their night due to their incorrect door policies and unprofessionalism

And the managment may stil be un-aware of anyone being mis-treated... they spend most of the night sitting in there office watching the takings or monitoring the CCTV... They usualy have no idea what the doormen are up to.

I have forwarded this whole incident discussion to numerous friends (30+) all of whom are security personel and all are in agreeance with me in the above statment.

I have been working the doors now for 7 nearly 8 years. I worked the door at the biggest weekly superclub in england.. I have never heard anything like i have been hearing before... yeah you get Doorman trouble most places but nothing on this scale.

However unless specific badge numbers / names can be produced then there is little that can be done in the context of any form of recompense for lost revenues.

By law when a doorman starts there shift they have to sign a sheet with there licence number, times nd sometimes the position they will be on. if the incedent was reported then the governing boddies have every right by law to go and find out wht doormen were working that night.

I will support you as much as I can in searching out the legality of their actions and supporting any fundraisers to restore B2T to it's rightful place in the forefront of Hard Dance nights in the UK.

All support and help is welcome.. Thanks man :)

Lets just hope that when the managment are made aware of wht is going on they will buck up there ideas :)

I have several points about the door staff at The Que Club on the night of the B2T event. Some of which I have posted in a previous thread. These are the ones off the top of my head (as I don't have much time):

1. They were the most 'over-zealous' door-staff I think I have ever encountered, especially at a hardhouse night.
a) I have been clubbing all over the country for about 10 years and the only other time I have ever had the underwire of my bra searched was at Camden Palace (when it really was Camden Palace) and I don't remember feeling so uncomfortable with it that I had to restrain myself from saying something that might have caused me not to be allowed in. I'd have probably slapped a boyfriend that 'rummaged' that much! I can't say I was in clothing that attracted attention or given them cause to think that I was shipping anything in either - jeans and a shirt/blouse!

For those few moments that you are being searched at the door, the bouncers are in complete control - you wouldn't be there if you didn't want to get in and it's their shout whether you do or not. It's a shame some of them feel it necessary to abuse those few moments of power.

b)The only other time I have seen a walk-through metal detector (like the ones at airports) was at The Collosseum in London, before the re-vamp. To have a scary guy with scary dog next to the metal detector is inevitably going to make anyone feel uncomfortable as they approach.

2. I never have any trouble with door staff. I'm just not the type of person that attracts it. Yet, one of them decided to be very rude and unreasonable and started shouting at me for no apparent reason and then continued even when I'd started making a phone call! He was with a group of 3-5 other door staff and I just put it down to a show of machismo. Not very professional though!

3. I did hear that they were pocketing the tickets that were handed in on entry and re-selling them outside and not handing in the money from the sale to B2T.

I also had this happen to me, i dont mind being searched but to have someone other than myself basically feel my breasts and get their fingers underneath my bra is well out of order.
theres a person, time, and place for this and that was not by a bouncer at the beginning of a rave at the que club.
