...haven't heard much about this one but the trailer looks pretty good. Yes it's another superhero movie (sorry Celshaw) but it's a slightly different take on it. Might be a surprise hit.

The CGI is quite interesting as the flying effect kicks any other superhero flying cgi out of the water. Could be a good vehicle for Smith's return to form.

Return to form? That's a bit harsh I think, Legend was disappointing but I wouldn;t lay the blame with him as I though the majority of his performance was pretty good.

What do you mean no expectations? The hype for this in the US has been huge for a while now. It just looks like a good fun summer blockbuster. Bring it on! :)

Oh really? I hadn't heard much about it till just recently to be honest.

Apparently it's pretty mediocre, with most if not all the good moments in the trailer.

Hence my no expectations comment. I didn't know much about this till now so I'll go and see it, if it's shit now big loss as I wasn;t expecting much anyway and if I enjoy it well that's a bonus.

In fairness Dave one of Nick's biggest assets is his ability to find out info about upcoming films on the internet. All he was doing was passing on the buzz from a source which is a large part of what this group is about (I'm always doing it as well). No need to have a pop at him for doing so.

Cheers for the feedback. Been thinking about it and I don;t want it to just be the big movies in the trailer of the week slot every week or just superhero/comic flicks. I'll try and have a bit more variety in future but it would be helpful if anyone sees a good trailer or would like a trailer for a little known film they know to give me a shout so I can post it up there.

Luckily SATC has already been released so we just about dodged that bullet ;o)

I saw the trailer for this last night while watching Blade Trinity. I like the concept of the down and out superhero seeking redemption but it looks a bit too quirky for my taste, like another MIB.

Not heard much about it so far, just the short teaser trailer and some casting announcements. Simon Pegg will be playing Scotty and the guy who plays Sylar in Heroes will be playing Spock.

Thing is it's basically another Will Smith vehicle. I know a lot of people don't like him for whatever reason but I actually think he's a good actor when he's given the right movie (Ali, In Pursuit of Happyness and yes even certain parts of I am Legend) but for me he needs to stop playing the hero now and get stuck into a serious bad guy role and really show some range to his acting ability.

I guess if he's being offered stupid money to keep playing the hero then you can't knock him for getting paid but to really get peoples respect he needs to do something different now I think.
