Action films tend to get slated by some members of this group though.

I think action films have the tendency to lack in other areas such as acting and script. I can just about tolerate a brain dead film if it doesn't pretend to be anything else.

Apparently the film has loads of references to old films. That Stallone had previously starred in with some of the other cast.
For example in the trailer Dolph Lundgren is beating someone up and says "now that's karma". Which I imagine is reference to losing in Rocky IV.

Looks good. What happened to Bruce Willis? I thought he was gonna be cast in it?

He is in it. But perhaps only a cameo.

Looks shite. And not 80s shite, just WWE DTV shite. I did get a big grin on my face seeing Lundgren, but that's what annoyed me about the rest of the footage. Too much Statham, who's too recent to kick off that nostalgia. I know why he's in there, but it just felt like some Transporter sequel or something. Very blah.
