am assuming i have to upload it somewhere else first and then embed it with a code

Yes.

Just paste the URL of the MP3 in. For example, if I paste in:

http://www.wrzuta.pl/aud/file/hRDn3UrSR5/1.mp3

I get:

Loading, please wait... If this fails to load, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player.

is there a site that will allow me to upload my mp3 to it thus allowing me then to have a url to paste?

cheers for your help by the way iain.....feeling quick thick at the moment and am surprised at myself for not knowing this information by now
