Yeah, got it went it first come out. They said it is around 12 hours long or something. That's bullshit. I completed it in a couple of hours.

Speaking of Operation Anchorage, you keep all your perks and that for the add-on. If you're at a high level it's piss easy.

So I'm playing it again on Hard more, doing Operation: Anchorage and it's really tough. I guess it is because I am at such a low level and of course the difficulty setting.
Also really fun playing it as an evil character, blowing up Megaton was amazing!

Made it to Oasis today, started the mission, got near the end of it, and got killed by a Mirelurk Hunter.
Not fucking happy as I hadn't saved since paradise falls. No good in the slightlest!

Hated that Oasis mission, though nowhere near as bad as the Fire Ant one imo. That was fucking awful.

Last time I played it, I was running protection for that giant robot as we headed to kick the Enclave's ass. Got that level-up that lets me see all the parts of the map, but can't be assed if I'm honest. How close to completing the game am I?

Im getting the same way Nick, level 20, got all the map locations but the game is starting to feel repetitive- vats was great at first but gets boring after a while. I'll probs finish it at some point but its back ion the shelf for now.

surely the game would've made an autosave file when you last entered a location, i.e. entering the tree dude's tunnel? (so to speak)

It happened to me a few times for some reason. I thought it autosaved each time you entered / left a building but obv not.

VATs never gets old imo, but the main storyline is pretty gash in comparison to some of the smaller quests and I think my enthusiasm took a knock going back to that. Still a marvellous piece of videogaming though.

I've just started again from scratch, gonna play as evil this time. Anyone know who that guy is who you keep seeing run away just before you blow up megaton? I saw him outside megaton and he ran off then again outside tenpenny towers and he ran off again when I went near him. Do you need him later in the game or shall I just kill him?

That is the final mission.

He's not needed later in the game. You need to meet him at that Tenpenny Tower after you've blown up Megaton. After that you can kill him.

When met him after I blew up Megaton, he gave me whatever he gave me and as I walked away I bumped into him. He went all psycho on me, saying that I ruined his expensive suit. He pulled out a weapon to shoot me. Silly fool, he should of realised I had a massive choice of weapons to kill the cunt with.

I don't mean Mr Burke, there is an old man sitting on the floor outside Megaton just after you rig the bomb, then again outside Tenpenny Towers. It wouldn't let me talk to him cos he runs off.

Oh right. Well, I can't remember all the details of what happened after I rigged the bomb. Fallout 3 has taken a seat for a while. :P

Same as. I love it. That and being a sniper, bout the only game I enjoy it on. The sniper rifle on Operation: Anchorage was soooo good!
