SFIV has less ideas than Tekken and handles like you're using a cinder block as a controller.

Tekken is a far more superior game than that 2d pile of shit!

I think they are the best fighters in their own arenas, 2D and 3D, respectively but overall my vote goes to SFIV for it's incredible return to form this year which left nothing left to be desired whereas Tekken 6 looks like it's just (frankly superb) Tekken 5 with upgraded graphics. And your comments here say a lot about fan's perceptions of this installment as well.

it handles brilliantly with anything other than the standard xbox360 controller and that's probably the only one you have played it with.

I will be buying it though... when it's in the bargain bin.

IU bought the new street fighter and wasnt impressed. Tekken has always been awesome.

But king of the beat em ups has to be the Soul Calibur series surely??!!

there you go, vote number three :) I love SCs up to SC2 but I haven't played the last one yet. The story modes were very creative and rewarding in terms of unlockables. Apparently the story mode in the last one was weak but I will need to give it a spin anyway.
