Sector 9 spotlight on Mark EG - last event at Jabez Clegg!!

With Mark EG rapidly approaching his debut set at sector-9, we give you the low down on what makes mark one of the finest legends in the uk today, and also give you a quick insight to the epic new production that awaits us all in a few short weeks!
Constantly searching for new sounds, original production talent and cutting edge club music, Mark EG is at the forefront of the UK's new music soldiers. But he refuses to be labelled. And this sometimes chameleon-like addiction to music has held Mark responsible not only for some of the most ground breaking releases in the techno world over the last ten years (as 'The Anxious') but also Mark has cemented his place at the top of the global hard dance movement.
With a deep musical history that spans back to the Chicago house and Detroit techno sound of the early 80's, Mark has become widely acclaimed for his intense stage presence, as well as his outrageous antics behind the decks. His ability to cross over into different music movements is simply unrivalled. Mark’s most notable achievements have included his massive popularity in the Serbian/Bosnian and Croatian techno scene; the near sonic domination of the Canadian rave scene; his infiltration of the hard dance scene; his almost cult-like status within the UK hardstyle and hard trance movements; and of course who could forget his place in the UK hardcore scene where Mark has been a well respected part of the furniture for the last fifteen years - playing regularly at all the main events such as Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Hardcore Heaven and Slammin Vinyl goodgreef, storm, frantic.
Mark also plays regularly at some of the biggest outdoor events on the world stage such as Dance Valley, Impulz, Ground Zero and Q Dance proving he is one the uk biggest exports not just in Europe, but right across the globe, and of course there’s his Blackout Audio FM techno radio show...
Mark was voted 'UK's Best Hard Dance DJ' at the Hardcore Heaven Awards 2003, 2004 and 2005 and for his downright lunacy he received the ‘Party Animal’ award 2006 at the London’s Hard Dance Awards. It’s also well documented he was instrumental in the A+R for 90’s giant Bonzai Records and was Assistant Editor for cult music magazines such as Wax, Eternity and more recently 'Core' magazine. He also still writes regular monthly techno reviews for the leading UK magazine 'M8'.
Mark also spends a vast amount of time putting his input and knowledge into some of the uk finest hard dance publications, heres how his editorial career has spanned so far.... as you can see he is much more than just the party animal behind the decks. Mark simply lives, eats, sleeps and breathes music. He has been a major player in the UK underground circuit and has helped to shape this scene into what we have today.

1998-2003: Techno Reviewer, Mixmag USA (Mixer).
2000-2004: A+R, Bonzai Records.

2009 Core magazine
Most recently Mark has collaborated with straight on black mainstays (and our residents/the Dutch connection;)) Thilo and Evanti. This is Marks first ever hardstyle release which will raise his popularity to a whole new level.
The track its self is named "the ride" and is said to be some thing quite exceptional, and it has been gathering some real excitement as its it approaches its release date (towards the end of October/beginning of November). Not only was mark involved in the original mix but he also contributes his own stunning interpretation remix on the b-side.....
So for those of you who plan on attending sector-9, you will surely witness this track devastate the dance floor !!!
We will see you there, lets make it a loud one, aiiiiiit.
