Proteus has gained the respect to be called Finland's most known Hard Dance DJ and has become one of the key players of the global harder music scene. He's been DJ'ing for 13 years and producing music about 8 years. Proteus and his friends have been the key figures in creating the harder dance scene in Finland.
With several single releases and mix compilations on his discography the time has now come for a full artist album; “(For those who understand) The Nature of the Beast” will be released in August 2008. The news about the upcoming album have been received with excitement globally and since the album is a fusion between industrial, hard dance and metal it will break many of the classic genre barriers. Besides his own original tracks the album includes remixes for the famous metal band Apocalyptica and favored industrial artists Turmion Katilot and Kuroshio Current.
In his career Proteus has toured most of the seven continents. He's been awarded as the “Best Hard Dance DJ in the world” two times in a row (2004 & 2005) in the Hard Dance Awards. Proteus has also made it to the respected DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ list twice as the only Finnish DJ besides Darude ever. Proteus' energetic and captivating style of spinning the records have given him a place as the supporting act for the Prodigy and Juno Reactor on the Finnish part of their world tours.
Besides doing gigs and producing Proteus keeps himself busy by running a weekly radio show and organizing many popular clubs and events in Finland.
