Marc Johnson & Defective Audio - 5 Dollar hooker
Without doubt Marc's finest year on the production side, with instant classics such as Hyperscum, Something Ugly and Blunt Force (All engineered by Dom). Marc teams up with him again to create this monster of a track, in more ways than 1. Evil and hard hitting, 5 dollar hooker speeds away at a rate of knots, pushed along nice by the 'Hulk' vox. Marc and Dom manage to keep the energy following with the deep synths leading up to the break, hitting the main vocal nicely before the rising lead takes ova. Hammering back out into the nrg sound Marc is best none for. Yet again a top production form the pair, Awesome.
Ross Homson - Space Invader
Ross is defo one to watch in the near future and Space Invader is proof. Engineered by one of the scenes finest, Dave Owens, Space invaders hits the Hostility sound perfectly. Bags of energy, multi layered and easy accessable by both clubber and Dj. With a rolling baseline which rumbles the tune along, the change in synths before the break takes it to another level. With the main lead a more relaxed riff, it still hits home hard. With the 'War of the Worlds' vocal bang in the middle for good measure, this is sure to be cainned by djs up and down the country.
Pocock - Heavy Hitter
What can i say about this tune, Heavy hitting isnt the word. Pocock is one of the biggest producer coming through the Hardhouse ranks, with releases set for some of the biggest labels and his tracks being played by some of the biggest names about. Like 'Space Invader', Heavy hitter has that Hostility sound. A huge rolling baseline (Dave Owens producing the goods again), a uplifting yet fierce synth and great fx stabs. With its massive unforgetable breakdown building in momentum, Heavy hitter is exactly what it says on the tin. Adding one of Lashes most memorable vocals, everything is 'looking good'
