HTD DIGITAL HISTORY / BIO
Formed in early 2008, HTD Digital stormed the hard dance charts with debut releases ‘Warlord’ and ‘Reality Check’. Unsurprisingly, the label immediately attracted the attentions of the biggest artists in the scene; most notably hard house dons JP & Jukesy, who proudly championed its first promotional releases.
Soon after, the extent of the labels instantaneous popularity became evident as rising stars from across the globe began to join forces. Following a hugely successful initiation period, the team soon became inundated with demos and promotional material.
HTD Digital continues to go from strength to strength with its continual release of high quality music. Whilst the introduction of A-list remixers such as Carl Nicholson and Nocturnal Disorder have helped raise the labels profile in the hard dance scene, future projects look increasingly successful as the forthcoming release schedule targets all genres across dance music, including ever-popular trance and the rising minimal / tech house scenes.
Label managers, Andrew Cockbill and Shawn Cartwright created HTD Digital hoping to offer a variety of diverse dance music. To this date the on form label has been received with open arms by people across the scene. Attracting more supporters with every release, HTD Digital looks to see out 2008 and start 2009 as it began, by storm. Needing no introduction, the legendary Carl Nicholson takes his hands to what is already being tipped as one of the biggest tracks of 2008. With his trademark hard house sound, Carl is undoubtedly back to his best as this track echoes elements reminiscent of hard house anthems from time gone by. Carls mix takes you on a different journey to the original, with more of a hands up feel. Shawn Cartwright Remix
HTD resident Shawn Cartwright crosses code and makes his trance debut with this corking remix of Fire 4 Effect. This release looks poised to do the damage in both genres following Shawns captivating take on the original. Starting out tough yet euphoric, this track takes a turn towards nasty after the breakdown with its gritty stabs and driving, percussive synths. If you like the Sean Tyas / Paul Miller sound, this comes highly recommended!!
