HOT TO TROT WITH A CAMERA AND LOVE DANCE MUSIC? GET YOUR FOOT ON THE FIRST STEP OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY CAREER LADDER…

Have you got a severe eye for detail, colour and dance floor action? Are you hot to trot with a camera and know your way around a digital editing suite? Are you desperate to make it in the music industry and all you need is that damned illusive foot in the door? Then this could be your lucky day…

The promotions team behind London’s hottest little club The Island are on the lookout for a camera man/digital editor to help create a series of vodcasts over 2008. Talented, personable and dedicated to dance music you’ll be on the floor working with clubbers and DJs across a variety of house nights including Kidology, Fierce Angel, London Social Club, MiMo and more.

The role is unpaid but the contacts you’ll make are absolutely priceless. You’ll meet some of the biggest promoters in London, get access to the inner circle of the music industry and be able to do some severe networking. If you want to make it in the world of dance music and/or TV and you’re prepared to graft then this is opportunity knocking with a big fat fuck-off sledge hammer.

The vodcasts will be aired monthly across a variety of channels and media and full accreditation will be given. Once established we will be looking for sponsorship which in turn could fund equipment, overseas trips and bonus payments to all concerned.

Interested? Then email kat@mostwantedpr.com with a brief covering letter, CV and details of previous work and experience. You must be able to provide your own equipment and you must be live in London or be prepared to travel to the capital on weekends.

For more details call 08707 45 49 40. See you on the dance floor >;)

Wicked, will check him out, have had a few podcast broadcasters get in touch with me from this release wanting to host it already so on that premise we're looking at putting a sponsorship pitch in place from the start which is a wicked position to be in. It always pays never to give up >;)

And unbelievably looking forward to Kidology it's going to kick ass, Fierce Angels December was one of the best house nights I've been to in ages, absolutely phenomenal, bring it on ;)

For all they know once you've made some money from them you'll just ditch them and pay someone better and more experienced...the very thing you should be doing in the first place.

Or the very cynical might say:

"For all they know once you've made some money from them you'll just ditch them when they want paying and get someone else for free."

But it sounds like you're not going to work that way, which is nice!

Sort of irrelivant, but the island is an amazing venue! And must say would be an excellent opportunity for a young videographer! Small, intimate but fucking banging!

Well thats my little input!

A pretty venue does not a decent company make. I totally agree though, it's gorgeous inside...

Yeah, very underground...hidden away and intimate! With a nice sound system...always a plus.

Agreed
