Local Minimal/Techno DJ needed for new event in Hitchin
Ok guys...

Unfortunately a DJ we had confirmed a while back has had to pull out of our event on New Years Day and we are looking for a replacement.

We've created a new brand, Something Slightly Obscure and it is being held in Remix, Hitchin

Remix website - remix.uk.com

This is a DAY TIME event, running from Midday on New Years Day and has no set finishing time - we carry on till we can party no more!

We require;

- DJs who play great music and who are passionate about minimal and techno
- People who like a party that is a bit odd and can add something to it
- Someone who is local to Hitchin

We do not require;

- You to bring 20 mates but encouraging them to come along would be great
- Ticket sellers
- DJ's who play anything other than underground house, minimal or techno

We are offering a set in the afternoon for an hour, and depending on the length of the party there may be an opportunity to play again later on.

We want a DJ who loves their music, who has a specific style and is passionate about it - not a DJ who plays a little bit of everything and mashes it all up. This is an opportunity for someone to play minimal, techno etc.. which is an rare chance in such a commerical area.

This is the launch party but it will become a regular event and we plan on having some great headliners as well as the best in local talent.

If you can't play New Years Day, please feel free to get in touch as we will be looking for other DJ's for up and coming gigs.

Please get in touch via this thread, posting an up to date mix complete with full track listing of what you would play and any links that you think would be interesting to check out...

Please be quick - not long to go till the event. : )

We are a three piece two DJs and a percussionist outfit playing minimal, rolling tech house plus trying to remix tracks on the fly and we are local (Bedford). So, we are different, our music rolls and we are underground. Could be what you need. No recent mixes at the mo but do check Sodium Djs on YouTube and www.myspace.com/paulsodium. Email me at paul@sodiumdjs.com
