I've just started college and there using Logic 9 on Macs... As I don't have a mac to practice on I asked my tutor and he said download Logic 5.5 as it's the last one that works on Windows and its basicly the same bar a few machines...

Ive ad a gander and all the downloads i've found have been compressed into a .rar file and in that beast there are files ending in: .W02, .W03 ect.. and a .exe file so i've tried opening the .exe file and it comes up saying there's a virus but im hard so i temporarily disabled it and continued... then when the .exe file opened it came up with a error box saying 'Canot find MSCoreLib.dll' so i clicked ok, then the setup screen appears then eventually it asks for 'Disk #2' and wont go any ferther?

First of all all the downloads I can find are 24mb to 25mb and say nothing about disk #2 and secondly I know it doesn't work on Vista but i have XP? Enough comfuzzling also comments on where i got it from are mainly good! AHHHHHHHHH! Nightmare!

And before you all say... 'Why don't you just buy a Mac?' I only need it for revision and they are expensive

Has anyone had this problem and resolved it? OR know where mans can get hands on this? OR know if any older logics are the same if you've used 5.5
