Central London Musician Shops

Hi guys

I'm thinking of doing a bit of shopping tomorrow, looking for some hardware bits. Maybe a synth or a drum machine or something that catches my eye. Wanted to go to a shop and play about with stuff first though. I would of gone to Turnkey but obviously the shop is shut. Anyone know of any good shops that are similar around the Soho / West End area, with good staff that know what they're talking about?

Cheers

If you were to come out of turnkey, turn right, about 50 yrds up there is a small road on the right, 3 doors up is an excellent music shop, i bought my Korg Karma from there ages ago, very helpful. Not like them miserable cunts at turnkey.

Down a side road between TCR and Oxford Street? Comes out one end by the side of Boots/Sainsburys?

It's Denmark Street, about 3/4 way down on the left hand side is a good one, it has a ground floor and basement level, can't remember the name though. I think this is the one Pabs is talking about.

Or down to Clapham Common and go to Digital Village.

I had a walk down Denmark Street and found London Pro Audio. Had a look around and couldn't see anything that i wanted to play with. Asked one of the guys working there if they had any hardware production stuff and i was told, no one bothers to sell it anymore because people just come in, play around with it, then go buy it cheaper on the web.

Damn bloody internet
