Hey Angelic People!!!!

Well its that time of year again when I do my little mailer for Charlys Angelz!!! For the 7th year running we will be back at Play 2 in the West End of San Antonio in Ibiza for yet another summer of Saturday night madness!!!

I know many of you have played at Charlys before, but for those that haven’t…………………………. Charlys Angelz is an all female DJ night. It starts at midnight and finishes at 6am – although very often it goes on a little longer!!! It is actually one of the busiest, longest running nights in the West End, its free entry and Play 2 is also the biggest and only club in that strip. The night will run from Saturday 7th June until Saturday 13th September. It is possible we will go for a week extra in September depending on how busy it is in resort. We start the night off playing house, move through some tougher house and electro for a few hours, then some trance and last but by no means least a little hard dance at the end!!! The music policy for ALL the genres played is BIG TUNES!!!! By that I DO NOT mean Cheese!! I mean tracks that people recognize………..a few old, a few new, a few anthems and some big stompers to put the smile on people’s faces. That’s what Charlys is all about!!!!!

So, if you are a FEMALE DJ, you are coming to Ibiza this summer and fancy playing at our night, then here is what you need to do. Either email me on info@vickydevine.com or PM me on DSI or Facebook. I need to know –

Your Name and DJ Name
Your Email address
Your telephone number
The SATURDAY night you will be in Ibiza that you would like to play
The GENRE that you would like to play out of the following – house / electro, trance or hard dance
If you haven’t played before I need an up to date Biog and a mix plus any other info on your websites / myspace pages

Once you have done that then I will have a look at the calendar and see if I can fit you into the lineup on the dates you requested. As a warning, some of the girls that have played regularly for me in the past have already been in touch and June is looking pretty chocca already so dates / sets will go on a first come first serve basis.

In return your name will be on all generic posters which stay up for the whole season, on the website and any other websites on which we advertise, on all other promotional flyers and posters for the week you are playing. We are teaming up with some UK promotions so there should be a fair bit written on forums online which will include lineups also. Plus we’ll make sure you are taken care of on the drinks front obviously and if I can help you out with anything else whilst you and your friends are on the island then I will!

Once you have a date and the genre that you want to play then the only thing I ask is that that you stick to this and / or let me know if anything has changed. In years gone by, I have booked people for trance sets that have turned up to play funky which screws up what I have already booked somebody else for. I have also had people not turn up at all when we have advertised them and are obviously expecting them. The night runs extremely well anyway. We have a fantastic resident DJ in Miss Divine of La Vita fame and obviously I have been at Charlys Angelz since day one. In addition this year we have DJ Ange playing weekly and many girls returning who have played before!!!!! We all love playing down there and making the night work, but it is of course fabulous to have different girls down there showing people how its done and making the nights different for us every week. I think I can say that all the girls that have played down there before have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It does make life a little more difficult though when we are expecting something and we get let down. Please please only write back if you DEFINATELY want to play.

All the pictures are up from last and previous years if you want to get an idea what goes on down there!!! The myspace page also has a couple of the videos on of a funky set and a hard set. I'll be putting more up soon! We are also about to launch a new UK tour so keep your eye out for this also, and any girls that come and play for us this summer I can maybe help out by including on the tour in the winter also and possibly also at other events I am involved with promoting
