25 days, 25 artists, 25 remixes; all proceeds to charity!!

Get behind this people if you would... UK Breaks producer Squatter is on a Xmas mission to remix a different track from a different artist every day for the whole of advent, all in the aid of charity!!!

Those of you who are regular listeners to my Inferno Sessions show will no doubt have heard me bigging up Squatter & this whole project... We will be featuring a few of the remixes over the next couple of weeks on the show.

In the words of Squatter:



"Having just deferred my masters placement I have been thinking what best to do with my time and I have ended up thinking far too much about myself, so I have decided to do something which raises cash for people more useful than myself, and at the same time will force me to challenge my skills and productivity.

The idea is that I will remix a track and have it ready for download on each and every day of advent (and finally chrimbo day itself). Aaalllll the money goes to charity, I get nowt but the pleasure of making lots of noise

The charity that we are working with is Making Music. With dwindling funding in the arts, we need to make sure we support each other, and Making Music do just this. Have a read about how they do do what they do do here... makingmusic.org.uk

Are you a band or producer with a track you want remixed? Do you have a mate who just happens to be a famous one of the above? I need at least 25 so i've got something to work with if something doesn't pan out. Once the 30th of november comes along (I have to start a day early to have the first track ready) I will have zero time to sort out problems and wait to download remix packs etc, so ideally I want everything ready. Please email me links or mp3s of tracks for remix consideration to squatter.email@yahoo.co.uk

Do you have access to a radio show or your own transmitter? (legal only of course) Or a magazine? Or can you shout loudly? Get involved! Spread the word! It's for charity! (currently accepting suggestions for charities as well)

All the plans are being finalised at the moment, so I'm totally open to suggestions/improvements etc; but I refuse flatly to dress like a christmas tree for the duration.

I'm currently uploading some remixes I've done previously so you can get a flavour; I'm not promising to make floorfillers, nor necessarily music people like; to be honest I have no idea what I am going to end up making or what my head is going to be doing a week or so into this. I'm not even sure whether there'll be time to sleep, or whether this is in fact a good idea in the slightest. Oh well. We'll find out!"
