Promoters of Innovate, appearing at Heaven in London on June 22nd in association with Insekt, Friendz and the Dirty Cowboys, have been forced to issue a safety warning to clubbers planning to attend the event.

Preliminary soundchecks for Nick Sentience’s new live show, SoundVision, have uncovered a problem that could affect members of the dance floor under a certain weight.

“The problem became clear during a test in the club to make sure that the visual and audio levels were correct and working in complete harmony with each other,” said promoter and DJ Nicki S.

“Everything was fine and the show looked amazing, until we looked over onto the dance floor where one of the bar staff had been standing. Unfortunately she’d been blown away by the overall effect and was in a heap at the back of the club!”

“I knew it was good but I didn’t realise it was this good,” said Nick Sentience. “I’ve been working on this concept for quite a few months now but you don’t realise the effect it will have on other people. I suppose when you’re in the studio and something is just an idea, you don’t think you can possibly pull it off to the scale you want. Obviously this time I totally have!”

The member of staff is said to be doing fine but the incident has caused party organisers to issue the following health and safety warning to anyone under 9 stone attending the event.

“We just recommend that they hold on to something or someone heavy while they’re watching Nick’s show,” said Nicki. “We are expecting absolutely everyone to be blown away but those with a heavier composure should be able to stand their ground against the impact of the show.”
