Old skool, jungle, glitch, breakcore, IDM, gabba, hardcore, chiptune, dnb, wonk, circuscore, all corners of electronica and general mashup goodness, we are bringing you the lot. Ugly Beats is all about ridding the dancefloor of the seriousness it so often contains and replacing it with a huge bundle of sweaty mass hysteria.

The first and only ever Saturday 6th December 2008 sees the birth of Ugly Beats, and it will be a fine evening of genre clashing madness. Expect a journey right from the classics of yesteryear through all things nasty, experimental and utterly stupid. Sometimes ugliness can be quite attractive and here that point is proven. Join us.

Ugly Beat's free launch party lands at Havana tomorrow night. We are doing the place out, taking a decent system along and a bunch of lights and we got a right good lineup of ugliness for you all. Genres represented this time around are old skool, hardcore, breakcore, dubstep, jungle, dnb, electronica and even a lil splash of gabba. Its gonna be a fine eve of genre clashing mashup. Make sure you don't miss out!

Thanks to everyone who came along, was pretty much the busiest i've seen Havana. Was really good to see people 'avin it to whatever genre of music we threw at em. Seemed like the harder it got, the more people were screaming with excitement, so a massive thanks to you lot for bringing the insanity!


We got a legendary act coming in for the next one, will be sticking the details up as soon as its all finalised. Gonna be huge!!
