Where to start?! Apologies in advance for the length of this message, but its the end of an era and warranted a special review i think...

I know my Licked co-promoters Rob and Drew will be adding their own comments, but i just wanted to say a massive "thank you" to everyone for our amazing last ever Turnmills LICKED event @ Smartie Partie on sat nite. Most of u know already, but i started working with the guys exactly a year ago this month, Feb 2007 - my first SP! Such lovely guys, i knew back then that we would end up working together in the long run, but i couldnt have imagined what a year we would have!

LICKED was conceived in June 2007 and launched a month later at the July 2007 SP. With Trace and Claire giving us the platform (in the awesome Juno room), i'd like to think its been through sheer hard work that we have come as far as we have in the last 7 months. We couldnt have done it without Mr & Mrs SP and their support - and i'm so chuffed we got to host LICKED there one final time before the legendary Turnmills closes its doors for good next month.

I really dont know where to start in trying to talk about Saturday's party! To begin with, have to say a massive well done to Licked co-promoter and fellow dj ROB LOCO, for his work with the decor. He always works so hard and the room was hands down the best ive ever seen it - cant wait to see all the piccies! Our other co-promoter DREW HARDING dislocated his knee in the run-up to Licked, but not only did we manage to get him there (it was possible he might not have made it), but him and Rob played the closing set at our last ever party - and a wicked job they did too - am so chuffed u made it after all Drew, u really deserved it mate.

We tried to pick our djs carefully and make sure we nailed the last party music-wise, the idea always being to gradually build the night bit by bit. So i'd like to say a huge "thank you and well done!" to all our DJs! The Tucker brothers got things started perfectly for us and as always, the room was real busy from the offset. CADENCE then took over and picked up perfectly from where the Tuckers left off. It was really hard to fault any of the djs - Marky Sparks rocked it, as did James Wilkinson and above all else, it was so nice to have such wicked guys all playing our last party. We felt it would be appropriate to have the LICKED crew finishing the night off on the decks - so i played the second to last set (thanks everyone, i really had a lotta fun!) and then Drew & Rob played the night out - thats easily the busiest ive ever seen that room at 5am when the lights came on! Unreal.

Thanks to our dancers, our pr girl, our girlfriends (for putting up with our stressing in the run up to all events!), my sis Cri, and Kev, Eoin, Rory, matt (the guy with THOSE socks), Seb etc who all helped us set up the room Sat daytime and also who crucially helped us pack down once the room shut - we cant tell you how much it helps! And dont forget Giulietta and katy kate, who dressed up as Licked cheerleaders, u looked fab girls! A special thank you to the clubbers (Licked crowd and SP's) who made our last night the most special party we've done so far - i say it every time, but u guys rock! The biggest thanks has to go to Trace and Claire for their continued support and Rob and Drew and everyone associated with Licked (Sarah.Bryn, Sp4eva, kate etc etc) for all that you do for us. Steve - your laser looked the bollox yet again mate, awesome!

As you all know or would have seen, we had a film crew shooting our room all night. The idea was simply to record what will surely be one of the most special nights we have done at Turnmills for SP - that footage will be sentimentally priceless to us and i'm soooo looking forward to seeing it. Jon/Carl, thank you guys for your efforts and am sure we will work together soon :)

So its time to say "GOODBYE TURNMILLS" from the LICKED crew. I'm a beleiver in fate and despite being sad about leaving this amazing venue, its not the end for Licked...its just the beginning. Thank you Smartie Partie, onwards and upwards Licked lovers. What a night.

hats off to the Licked Massive, really enjoye the Juno room spent most of my nite in there b4 playin the Anexo, really loved the music started with a funky twist thru electro and the some dirtier beats!!!

from the shexxxy Licked Dancers, to the atmospher, to the decor and lazers, really thought the whole package was spot on and thats from a promoter, clubber and DJ side of it, top work!!!

was good to meet a few of the Licked Crew over the nite, sorry but i am shite with names BUT never forget a face, some really nice down to earth peeps, top show!!!

I have never enjoyed a night at Smartie Partie @ TURNMILLS so much, it was truely something, and equally amazing to be part of.
Big shout to every single individual in the legendary venue, just goes to show how important a night like that is.

The LICKED room looked absolutly amazing, Well done Jas, Rob and Drew without a doubt top boys. The Decor, Lighting, Sound Quality was awsome, The dancers were amazing. Cannot THANKYOU and can't extend my gratitude enough for the oppertunity you gave me to play, I hope you enjoyed it as much as me, if not more..........

Its definitly one of the Best sets i have ever had the privlege to play, and will cherish and remember it for a long time to come, never felt such an amazing feeling, Looking out onto a sea of clubbers dancing to every beat and not missing one, People whistling in appreciation, people wanting to shake my hand in between mixes over the dex and the amount of people that came up to me after the set saying well done was overwhelming.
The room was packed out from start to finish, proves we were all doing something right, big praise to the other DJ's that played

THAT NIGHT WAS ONE HECK OF A ROLLER COASTER RIDE, AND I WAS GLAD TO BE PART OF IT!!!!

Once again an absolutely superb night.

Would be very interested in seeing the "interview" that we did, I was told afterwards that my jaw was moving in a least 12 different directions.

Gotta say thanks to the LICKED crew for letting us play that night, the only downside was having to make way for the next DJ :). What an up for it responsive crowd! you gitta love them!Music was was perfectly pitched for the time of night from start to finish a sign of something special I think! The room looked on a par with anything I experienced in Clubland, just cant wait for the next one! lets get LICKED all over again!

My biggest 'thanks' goes out to our 'Licked' crowd!!! You lot know how to party!!! You make 'Licked' what it is and you're the reason why we keep putting ourselves through all the stress and sleepless nights on the run up to our events! On the actual night it all becomes very clear.... We fookin love it!!!!!

saturday was the best night i've had in ages - everybody i spoke to said the same. the juno room looked amazing (especially liked the arm wobbling raving man - amy beaver he was so raving with us!), the djs all played wicked sets (marky sparks your last tune was top!) and as always you all created that special vibe that left the party finishing on a total high note, not to mention seriously busy considering how late it was! despite sitting outside for an hour in the freezing cold whilst you boys packed away and having the slowest journey home at silly o'clock, we had a ball and i was glad to help. you made such an effort and everyone appreciated it - top night, well done xxx

clubbers clubbers clubbers...............WWWWOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW.......what a fucking night, I would say I am an experienced clubber and I can put my hand on my heart and honestly say that last Saturday night was the best rave experience I have ever had....

the beats were amazing, the DJ's were quality, The decor leaves behind the likes of Space, Privilege and Pacha in its wake....... I have never raved like that before. A truly uplifting experience. I implore everyone who reads this and who has not already been to a 'LICKED' event to pack your beans up and come to the next one, I guarantee you will love it.

I know how hard the Licked crew (or as I like to call them 'bringer of beats') work, and it is soooooooooooooooooo worth it.

I love raving and being part of this great adventure, and god only knows where we will end up.
