We're back!
I know some of you have been asking what's going on... so sorry if it's been a bit quiet round here.

But now we're back, and we've moved! Starting on Saturday 10th February we'll be at the Consortium, starting with Erol Alkan. We'll post more info over the next week or so, but for now... tell your friends about the move, invite your buddies, get them to join the Maison DSI Group, become our myspace friend, and we'll tell you everything you need to know very soon.

Synchronise watches, make notes in diaries - Saturday 10th February - Maison, Consortium.

Over and out.

doors open at 9pm - reckon if your friends are there by 11pm they'll be fine x

ok awesome night!
but what the hell was going on with the queue at like 11pm.
Doormen just seemed to be letting two people on then waiting 5 minutes then letting another two in!
Barmy!

that was sick, i had a stormer. that must be the first time i've been in a proper moshpit at a house night!! proper filth. LOVED IT!!!!

thought having it at consortium worked a treat too. a bit more underground, a bit more atmos.

great to hear a few indie tunes in the mix from erol.....that tune from the skins advert (im reliably informed anyway. all over the radio at the mo but the name escapes me) was well good.

que was rubbish.....all sorts of rumours flying around in the slug that you'd have to pay again after 11 even if you had a ticket - dunno what all that was about! all worked out in the end though. que wasn't really a problem for us, just stayed in the slug for another drink or 2.

anyway - maison back on form - keep up the good work!

Trainspotter moment...

I remember him playing Smith 'n' Hack's remix of Herbert's 'Moving Like A Train'. That samples the trumpet from Yello's 'The Race'. However, that wasn't his opener.

Sample Here.

Did you get the Disco 2006 CD from January's Mixmag? (Or was that December's?)
If so, it's track six.

What a great night. Best party Ive been to for ages. All music was ace.. I dont think Ive seen the Consortium go off like that - from Cliff - Trentemoller remix of Moby's Go, Boyz Noize remix of Bloc Party, from Erol - Daft Punk Medley at the end, I think was an edit of the Soulwax Nite Version mix of Gossip and his mad skills on the CDJs were ace...

I remember him doing some furious button bashing on the CDJs. Reminded me of playing Daly Thompson's Supertest on my Megadrive! I'm sure similar bleeps were involved too :o)

i will make sure the queue situation is sorted for next time - sorry to anyone who waited outside longer than they needed to. for future reference (and this doesn't excuse anyone having to queue longer than necessary) - the tickets did get you entry before 11pm, and that will be the same again next time.

you can buy the gossip here - £1.49 for each track or cheaper if you buy the bundle. there are loads of good mixes... i think Headman is one of the best, but the Playgroup mixes are wicked too...

i thought generally it went really well... a good crowd, and the atmosphere rocked... needless to say Erol smashed it.

we'll have the photos on our website soon...

thanks for making our opening night such a success :-)
