Records and Roasts this Sunday 6th August
What are you up to this weekend? Wherever you end up on Saturday night, we've got the perfect antidote for you on Sunday. A good pub, with great food, comfy seats, cosy booths and a few tunes courtesy of me, Chambers and Tosh.

We'll be playing records, eating and drinking from 3.30pm until late o'clock at Sixty Million Postcards.

It's a take-it-easy day, with music to suit - laidback, foot-tapping, shoulder-shrugging records & roasts (and pies).

Tosh is very excited because he'll get to inflict some of his obscure musical gems on people other than his closest friends, Chambers is excited because it was his birthday yesterday so we'll be celebrating on Sunday, and me? I'm chuffed that there might finally be somewhere for us all to hang out when we're not clubbing which is run by people who think the same way that we do.

For those of you that know him (many of you will be familiar with his work) Steve, my partner in crime and drinking, is back from Thailand on holiday and this will be his last weekend before he goes back.

Lots of reasons to come down and eat, drink and be merry.

And did I mention that it's free to get in?

Does anyone know if George is out this weekend or has she fallen off of the face of the earth?

It's a nice gaff. Loads of comfy leather sofas, booths down one wall, some interesting lampshades(!) and the best selection of beers and ciders that I've seen for a long while. The Frulli Strawberry beer has been a revelation albeit an expensive one!

We played twice last week and we're playing again tonight. It's nice to have somewhere where we can play a more esoteric choice of records to a suitable audience without constantly keeping an eye on the dancefloor. (If you get my drift...)

Yea i hear what your saying Lee. Sounds like fun. A good selection of beers and ciders? Im there! Magners seems to be the drink of choice these days for most people, it is bloody good though...

Yep, the Magners is present and correct. At the last System Addict at The Consortium, Ian looked up after the last record to find a row of six Magners bottles in front of his decks and then another six bottles in front of mine!

However, have you tried Brothers Pear Cider yet? It's starting to give Magners a run for it's money.

I'll have to give that one a go mate, you can't beat a decent Cider! I haven't seen that one around though so i'll keep my eyes open for it. Do they sell it at Postcards?

Think I'm gonna head down for some lunch to nurse the monster hangover I'm gonna have on Sunday.
