Paul Cosseys PHunky Farewell - This Saturday
Paul Cosseys PHunky Farewell :o(

Saturdays’ PHunky party in the Hive will be tinged with sadness as Paul Cossey plays his last resident DJ set for Pams PHunky… Due to Family & work commitments Paul will be hanging up his headphones but we are sure we will drag him out of retirement for occasional Classic sets and future Reunions – that’s a promise!

Paul has been a fantastic resident for Pams PHunky for the last 7 years featuring at most UEA events & a number of PoNaNa parties .. Paul has always gone the extra mile with promotional online support and been a key player in our spin off parties… Pams Carry On’s, Hush Hush Sundays, Boat Parties & a regular participant & often host of some insane After After parties…

Read below for more information on Saturdays event – meanwhile – here’s a little history on Paul..

PAUL COSSEY

Paul’s Interest in DJing & Dance Music first started at school, when Andy James (Pam’s House's Hard Dance Resident DJ) used to let him listen to his "Rave Tapes" on the Bus to and from School. He never really did much about it until he moved in with a mate and he suggested that they got some decks... So he got some crappy Direct Drive Gemini's and started to buy records like his life depended on it…He was instantly hooked!
Paul never intended to play out as with so many other DJ's but after only DJing for 8 months he had the opportunity to run one of the first Club nights at the newly opened "Imagine/Mustard Lounge" called "Indulgence", naturally he jumped at the chance... This ran for about a year and a half until other commitments meant that he could not spend as much time promoting it as he should have. They had, had a good run at it and gained invaluable experience and confidence as a DJ.
It was during the last couple months running Indulgence that Paul entered Pam's Idol for the regions biggest promoters Pam's House/PHunky. He won the Competition! This resulted in a Gig at the Pams House 8th Birthday Party. Paul was made resident about 8-9 Months later after a couple guest appearances. With Pam’s House/PHunky & Other Guest Sets he has been fortunate enough to DJ along side some of the best DJ’s inc. Deepgroove, Alex P, The Trophy Twins, Gordon Edge, Soul Of Man, Drumattic Twins, Slyde, Rennie Pilgrim, JDS, Ellis Dee, Yousef, Jon Ulysses, Soul Avengers, Bobby & Steve, Angie Brown – LIVE, Rob Tissera (House Set) Rebekah, Lisa Lashes (Breaks Set) Axwell, Sonique, Griff (Manumission) Paul Jackson, Mark Wilkinson (Dab Hands) Jo Mills, Chris Lake, Tim Deluxe, King Unique, Glyne Braithwaite (Hed Kandi), Prok & Fitch, Miss Divine (La Vita Ibiza), Alex Miles (Bora Bora), Kid Dub, Timo Garci, Brad 212 Finlay andRodger Sanchez.
He has also guested at all the major House nights in and around Norwich as well as securing gigs at Turnmills (London) The Honey Club (Brighton) The Egg (London) The Breakbeat Weekender (Hemsby Holiday Park) Eastern Haze Festival (Somerleyton) & Various Bars and Boat Parties in Ibiza.

Paul will be playing a trademark Paul Cossey & Harry Pearce back to back set in the Hive on Saturday, followed by a 15 minute UEA Grand Finale & hopefully an after hours set at the Liquid Carry On (if still capable)
