Who Are You?

Huckleberry Finn or just Huck to my friends. Been on club & radio circuit for 20 years. I play at all kind of events from all types of house to old school to classics to jungle to hardcore events, and probably played every major venue in London and a few worldwide. I also produce and remix music, and former buyer for Uptown Records and A&R for Polydor Records, also run a dance label they're called Open-Dor Records which had releases like “Kim English-Nightlife” and “Nightcrawlers- Push the feeling” to name a few.

Current resident for Promised Land, Smartie Partie, Shiva, 2funked4work in Malta, One for the Girls which i co promote. Plus being a guest at many others including Get Lifted.

You've Done What?!

Won man of the match in cub scouts national finals when 11. In music looking back suppose I done a lot and hopefully there still be a lot more to come.

Where Are You Going?

Spent this year off the radio dial but looking to be back on air soon, but probably not till next year. Also new project in the wings but more on that as it devolpes - ooooooh i hear you say lol - to get more bookings and have it large at the closing parties in Ibiza and just have it large anyway lol.

Catching Up With... Sy Sez (Fanatix)

Who Are You?

Hi I'm Sy Sez - I'm a London DJ and radio presenter with a unique music style of Deep, Soulful, Uplifting + Gospel House.

My journey began playing on many of Londons pirate radio stations in the mid to late 90's. Along with my radio shows I began playing at local house & warehouse parties. Since then I've gone on to grace many of Londons best club venues and I now hold some major residencies in some of those clubs.

You've Done What?!

In 2006 I caught the eye of infamous house-music duo ‘The Fanatix’ (Aaron Ross & Neil Pierce) and earned myself a place on their monthly residency at top London venue – Neighbourhood. This notorious residency was a very popular night and created a dedicated following and has now been moved to Herbal - where I continue to be their resident.

With my unique music style of Deep, Soulful, Uplifting + Gospel House I have also played at many of Londons top venues including - Ministry of Sound, Neighbourhood, Herbal, Turnmills, Canvas, SE1, Plan-B, The Whitehouse. Along with other clubs in UK cities such as Bristol, Nottingham, Exeter, Bournemouth, Great Yarmouth, Southampton and Newquay. Since then I have also travelled to Ibiza, Southern Spain and Ireland to showcase my talent.

More recently my DJ skills have earned me a place on the Soul-Heaven lineup on its return to the Ministry of Sound.....as well as bookings from soulful house heavyweights Bobby & Steve playing at their famous club night GARAGE CITY and the Soul-Village Weekender held in Great Yarmouth.
I also holds a brand new residency for Kinky Malinki playing in their deep/soulful house room both @ Turnmills and The Whitehouse.

Where Are You Going?

I have now proudly been welcomed into the Fanatix as their official 3rd member and to begin joining them in the studio on their productions, as well as being asked to work for brand new record label FANATIX Recordings. This year will see me venture into the studio to undergo some much awaited productions. In the past year i have learned so much from my good friends Neil Pierce and Aaron Ross (The Fanatix) - and i aim to use my experience and knowledege I've taken from them into some of my own original work. I will be doing joint productions with the Fanatix as well as some remix work too.

I'm also concentrating on my role at brand new record label FANATIX Recordings - there are some great projects happening on the label and I'm really excited about being involved with them. Watch this space!

DJ wise - I'm looking forward to working with my new residencies for Kinky Malinki, Soul Village and the BBE + FANATIX clubnight - as well as some up and coming DJ bookings for Soul Heaven.
I'm especially proud to be asked by the Queen of Funk AKA Lady Duracell to be her resident at her brand new event GET LIFTED - it is a great privilege for me, I feel honoured!
