Release Yourself with Roger Sanchez - Turnmills May 6th
For the 5th year running Turnmills is proud to present the Grammy-Award winning Roger Sanchez and his world famous Release Yourself party, with the mother of all-night house sessions taking place (a little earlier than usual this year!) on Saturday 6th May.

Like a good wine, Release Yourself simply gets better with age. Since its inception in 2001, the event has developed into of the world’s most prestigious parties - with the UK leg at Turnmills still remaining Release Yourself’s flagship home for Europe. As is now the tradition, the S-Man will be manning the decks for the full 8 Hours – taking you on a proper musical journey from the first needle on the record at 10pm to the final 4/4 beat at 6am. Will he play on? Well, you’ll just have to find out on the night. Through the years, the Release Yourself community has grown intensively. In addition to London, Roger holds down other key RY residencies throughout the world including Ibiza, Paris and Amsterdam. His RY Radio Show currently broadcasts weekly in 19 different countries reaching 1.2 million listeners and since May last year, Sanchez even has his very own Mobile Phone Show too. Now that’s BIG time!!

Meanwhile fox-trot your way over to T2 and you’ll find discover an evening of Italo Disco, modern electronic tech-funk and all-round party madness hosted by Sedition DJs. Indeed, T2 will have a distinctly Italian flavour as we welcome special guest Guglielmo Masco to the party. Guglielmo is resident DJ at the infamous Nu Funk Klan parties in Rome as well as one of the hottest properties on the Italian underground dance scene, and his fresh new Roman Disco sound combines the best of the country’s Italo-disco heritage with the latest electro-house offerings. Trust us, this guy rocks! Joining him and representing London will be Zak Frost who knows just how to make the party go with a bang as anyone who has been to one of his legendary Nodisko nights will know, while the Italoboyz straight out of Shoreditch will be getting things grooving with their inimitable twist on the electronic music blueprint. Perfect for all you space cadets out there.

I know, everything good does seem to happen at the same time, doesn't it? I'm looking forward to this, but missing out on something else myself.

I must say, Pacha Ibiza is the perfect club for Release Yourself isn't it? I reckon it's definitely one of if not the best night there.

Without wishing to thread w@nk, the thing I'm going to instead I've not been to in nearly a year because various other things have been on the same night since!!! Nightmare!!!

I loved Release Yourself at Pacha Ibiza, I loved Pacha Ibiza, it was almost magical - all those levels, that lovely roof terrace, lots of friendly people, the dancers . . . ooh I'm getting all nostalgic! ;-) But then it was the only event I went to there as I was only out for one week during closings! When does Release Yourself open in Ibiza?

I'll be there. Havent missed a Release Yourself night @Turnmills in 2 years now!! I'll also be catching Roger here in Birmingham the night before!!
I'm wandering why its now advertised as an 8hr set instead of 10hrs like last year? May be to do with the 'Very Wrong Indeed' guys coming in for their Sunday morning carry on?

Anyway the RY closing party at Pacha last September was my first visit to the world famous club and I totally loved it (although my wallet didnt!!).
The opening party for Release Yourself at Pacha this year will be June 19th.

Sanchez is the king of house!!

I think it's probably a combination of the afterparty and the S man not wanting to commit himself to having to do 10 hours every time, just if he feels like it and the room is still going off.

Pacha is indeed heavy on the wallet, although I found drinking Cava was the cheapest option, and you can fool everyone that it's champagne from a distance, LOL.

Good points there Re Turnmills Housey. I'll also remember your tip on the drinks for when I'm over there next. Am hoping to do all the big closings in September again ;-)
