Retoxt have pulled out of Ocean Rooms, it wasn't the right venue for us because it only has one set of CDj's in the whole building and the sound system had blown in the red room.

Looking for a new venue in Brighton, does anyone have any ideas? Where would you like to go to Retoxt?

the turbosound system in the middle floor had blown one tweeter which is something that cannot be repaired on the spot an expensive part is required to be ordered which has been and the job has been done this monday.

when certain speaker parts blow their is nothing that can be done on the night, their are four tweeters with that sound system and three are still and where working although if driven to excess will cut out to cool down amps as being driven too far, this could stopped by backing of the top end slightly.

the funktion one sound in the basement had no problems at all and this is where the people where as there was not enough people in the middle floor anyway.

the sound at the ocean rooms has had all its limitations removed recently thus causing a situation where it is in the djs hands not to drive a system to excess.

The Ocean Rooms is a very difficult venue to fill at the moment a lot of good nights are failing to do the business. Take Circo Loco for example, you would expect the place to be packed to the rafters but it was dead...

It aint a nice club to spend a night in!!!

It's like a prison!!
