Uproar Goes To The Dam - Event Cancelled - Official Statement
Uproar Goes To The Dam – Event Cancellation

Unfortunately, due to low passenger numbers, Uproar have cancelled the Uproar Goes To The Dam event on Friday 16th October.

DFDS Seaways have been working hard to ensure that you don’t lose out and still have a fantastic weekend onboard and in Amsterdam. So rather than just cancel your booking, why not still sail with us? We are really pleased to be able to offer you a fantastic mini cruise break price sailing on the same travel dates. Prices are from £59 per person * based on 2 sharing a 2-berth inside cabin.

Please see the following example

2 night Amsterdam Mini Cruise with Uproar Goes To The Dam package
£177 per person based on 2 sharing

2 night Amsterdam Mini Cruise without Uproar Goes To The Dam package
£59 per person based on 2 sharing

This means you can use your refund and have £118 for spending money onboard and in Amsterdam!

If you wish to alter your booking, then please contact our team on 0871 882 2313 no later than Friday 25th September.

If you decide that you want to cancel your booking, then in the circumstances, you are entitled to a full refund as per our terms and conditions less any insurance premiums and credit card fees.

Please email us at travel.sales@dfds.co.uk to confirm you wish to cancel, quoting your unique booking number and lead passenger name. We will process all refunds back to the original payment card and once your cancellation is actioned, you should allow 7-10 days for refunds to be received.

* Price based on 2 persons sharing a 2-berth inside cabin and transfers in Amsterdam. Does not include meals onboard which can be added for a supplement.

Apology from Uproar

Uproar and DFDS have been working together to try and make this event happen, even with reduced passenger numbers - unfortunately this has proved to be unfeasible, for which we apologise unreservedly.

By way of compensation we'd like to offer each passenger that has booked a free CD Pack from the forthcoming HTID Vs Uproar "The Festival Rematch" event. To claim, please e-mail info@uproar-events.com including your DFDS booking reference number, full name and address. We will then post the packs to you after the event. You can claim your free CD pack regardless of if you accept the new Mini Break offer or receive a full refund.

Once again, please accept our sincere apologise for any inconvenience caused - we were looking forward to this event as much as you were.

instead of the cd pack they should have offered free entry to uproar vs htid, a cd pack isnt the same as a rave.

sit in the bar get paggerd on the duty free

They stopped us from buying drink from the duty free shop, until about an hour before docking, I wonder why..... them bar prices certainly wernt duty free, I'd almost see it throwing good money after bad, the only reason to go on the boat in the first place was coz there was a rave on board.

We did consider that, but decided against it as there will have been some people unable to attend the event, which would have meant they missed out on the compensation.

By offering a CD Pack we can post it directly to you, meaning that nobody has to miss out and everybody receives something from us by way of apology.

Where does it say its £59 pp per night?

it doesnt say it, its simple maths. the difference in price between uproar goes to the dam and what u pay if u just go to the dam is £118 - the refund u get if you choose to take the boat anyway

so that means you were gona pay £118 for 2nites of raving

thats £59 per night

get it yet?

Oh! I thought you meant you thought it was £59 for the 2nights raving. I was basically saying it was £59 for the accom for 2 nights and £118 for the rave for 2 nights (obviously £118 divided by 2 = £59 each night). Lol I just look at things from the difficult angle!!

hope they do this event again when i have the money to do it, its a wkd idea but it is a lot of money! £118 difference between rave on the boat and just the boat so thats £59 for a rave, kinda expensive!!!

The Uproar package price included your meals onboard as well (2 Dinners & 2 Breakfasts), which the DFDS £59 mini-cruise offer doesn't; So you weren't paying £118 extra just for the rave.

If you choose to book the mini-cruise offer, DFDS will offer you the chance to add a meal package at additional cost or you can simply pay for what you eat onboard.

oh fair enough.

i saw they were doin a deal for 2ppl only £79, think its midweek though and doesnt include food but thats £40each to get to the dam and back! If they sell tickets without food you must be able to bring your own food onboard aslong as you dont take it into the netherlands surlely?! im a fussy eater! and you can take your own food on planes too!
