One of the reasons for the total lack of MDMA available :(
Taken from a site quoting a reliable underground MDMA producer in Holland....

'In short: almost no MDxx synthesis precursors available.

im december 2008 three mdma/mdea/mda precursor chem suppliers have been busted.

2 in holland, 1 in uk. they were suppling heliotropin (= piperonal) in big amouts to the undergound cooks in mainly .uk and .nl. Some of those were reselling the heliotropin again, this is how the police caught up with the inner supplier circle.

it's estimated that these 3 suppliers are responsible for 90%+ of europe's (illegal) ecstasy precursor supplies, thereby responsible for 90%+ of all ecstasy pills from the last years.

at current state, only very few ppl in europe have access to essential mdxx precursors, like ppl working in research facilities or similar. This is why there are only very limited 'good' pills available'

Not good news folks!

well there are signs of proper md coming back into the market around london, ive always had one guy whos always had it (doesnt answer how he gets it) but was charging through the neck for it (60 a g), now he has new stuff (testing kit confirms mdma) at old prices. same time this week my friend a bit from different person north london, confirmed mdma but slightly more expensive for the amount got then it would have been before. so, mdma returning, and prices coming back down, could already be coming back.

i also had a friend of a friend at glade last week with shady connections that managed to sort me out with 'proper md', its appearance taste and that distinctive buzz makes me think it was definately the real thing although obviously i couldnt test. it was fing banging stuff, nothing beats that buzz,

Lets hope so, iv had a few people tell me they can get the real thing, tested and everything! Some people are asking £60-80 on the g for what they claim is the real thing, I'm still skeptical though its not worth risking that much paper and only time will tell what will happen with the situation.

I dont think it will stay like this for ever the cooks will find a way and MDMA is always going to be in demand.

Had some nice pills last mounth, £30 for 15 pills and they were pretty nice! Didn't have a testing kit but taste and effects were very similar to proper MDMA I was getting a few years back. Don't give up hope, people!

yes i can confirm it's back!!!!!!!!!!! a friend has managed to get hold of some from another friend who had tested it and said it came up high mdma content. the first friend being dubious, bought a G and went and tested it himself which also came up high MDMA content.... he then tried it while he was out on friday night and said it was very very nice and back to the old days.

i was supposed to be knocking it on the head coz lack of anything decent and have gone 5 weeks totaly sober... but knowing i have easy acess to the real deal , this it's getting increasinlgy tempting.. especially as my 29th is a couple of weeks away.

Along with the earlier report I just posted on the Edinburgh thread, this seems to be the most convincing explanation yet. Even so, you have to wonder about the quality of the reporting when you see a statement of, "the safrole could have been used to make about 7.5 million ecstasy pills, with a street value of about US$ 150 million." So that would be $20 a pill!

Maybe the person who has written the article is stuck in a late '80s time-warp, when pills did actually cost 15-20 pounds each and when, according to the tabloids, everyone who went to a rave was due to became totally deranged and die in a matter of months.

'They' do tend to exagerate those kind of details, however. Not sure what the street value of ecstasy pills is in the USA, maybe $5 each?
'A street value of $32.5 million' in these times of super bailouts would sound like loose change, compared to 'a street value of $150 million'. I think.
