What is Pure Sessions?

HISTORY OF HEAVEN – RENAISSANCE OF A GLOBAL CLUBBING SUPERSTAR

There are some clubs that are just a dance floor with a DJ booth. There are some that are four walls, a sound system and a rather expensive lighting rig. There are some clubs that are just plain old, bog-standard, ‘nothing special to write home about’ clubs. And then there is Heaven.

One of the most iconic clubs in UK dance music history, Heaven is tucked away down a side street off Covent Garden, underneath Charing Cross train station. Two totally unassuming doors lie in front of one of the most magnificent mothers of a club you’ll ever have the privilege to step inside.

If you’ve never been to Heaven then you don’t know what you’re missing. Not just a superclub, the venue is steeped in legendary sets from some of the most prolific DJs and producers on the global circuit. Whether it was Paul Oakenfold’s seminal Spektrum night back in the early 80s, Fabio and Grooverider tearing it up at Rage, Digweed and Sasha with the monthly Bedrock parties or the complete one-off Megetripolis, Heaven was the cradle that nurtured the UK scene from its very beginnings. House, drum n bass, psytrance, progressive – Heaven welcomed them all and gave them somewhere to showcase the most blistering sounds the country had ever heard.

Now Heaven is back, and in a big way. Bringing the biggest sounds to the only club in the only city that could possibly host them, ‘Pure Sessions Presents’ is the club once again opening its doors and its dance floors to the hottest names and the most up for it clubbers. Providing the capital with a regular weekly party that is all about the dance music, Heaven will see the likes of Hospitality, Bedrock, Peach, Stir, The Glade Festival, , Fingerlickin and tidy & Extreme Euphoria present London with nights that will blow your clubbing minds.
