What is Steve Smith 'Smigs'?

"Steve became interested in music at a young age, Steve first started going to events such as Judgement Day, The rezerection, The venue, The colloseum and the Afterdark and around the same time got his first set of technics.

His first major set was to be just under 2 hours in front of quite a busy venue, he was so nervous he remembers a kid going upto him and asking him to write the name of the tune he was playing at the time on a bit of paper. But instead of writing it down, he was approached by some promoters from a night in nottigham called the free house who had watched his set, but unfortunatley closed down before he got to play there. (That was the end of that).

Not long after that, Steves friend (fidds) gave a couple of CD's to the promoters of DETOX which was becoming a very successful event in the north east and had an ever growing following. Not long after Steve was asked to play at the next event along with Tara Reynolds. It was like a dream come true to play on the same line-up as a Pro DJ. After that He has played at nearly all the Detox events since, playing on the same line-up's as Paul Glazby, Anne Savage, Organ Doners, Andy Whitby, K90, Proteus, ED Real, Rob Tissera, John '00' Flemming, Vinyl Groover, Amber D, Adam (Lab4), Jon O'Bir, Kevin Energy, Phil York. Steve has always been versitile when it comes down to DJ'ing mainly because of his huge vinyl collection and the fact it covers pretty much every style of music you can think of. His main style is HardHouse/NRG and HardStyle, but has played sets including Trance and Tech/Trance sets at DETOX which got good feedback. Through playing at DETOX Steve has managed to gain a good following Along with the increasing following which DETOX is constantly getting from each event to the next.
