SugarShaker - DJ, Producer and official ‘Booty-shaker’ has only been Djing professionally for approximately 4 years. A relatively short time when you consider what she has achieved! She will be the first person to stand up and say ‘she knew nothing whatsoever about the music industry and Djing’ before she realised it was without a doubt her destiny! Being one of the few, new female DJ’s on the scene to learn to mix with vinyl, she is more than comfortable both with 1210’s and with the new CD mixers and is renowned for her love affair with the EQ’s!! Since her very first mix she hasn’t looked back and is extremely pedantic about her mixing and her sets and believes in ‘preparation, preparation, preparation to ensure that she delivers the best music she possibly can to ensure the dance floor is jammed!

SugarShaker picked up 2 residencies within her first 6 months of playing out; firstly a regular gig for the Internationally acclaimed Koolwaters, playing at The Beduin Bar in London and also at The Fez Club in Bristol, alongside head honcho Marc Vedo and secondly, for local night Housework, dubbed ‘The best night in the South West’ by Mixmag! These residencies gave her the opportunity to play alongside some of the best DJ’s in the industry including Pete Tong, Dave Pearce, Fergie and Lottie (Radio 1) plus Tall Paul, The Trophy Twins, Oliver Lang, Kate Lawler, Rebekah and Big Al and Nathan Thompson (Kiss101FM) amongst many others! SugarShaker set out to rock dance floors in as many towns and cities as possible and has been lucky enough to have had the pleasure of playing at some of the best clubs in the UK, as well as dipping her toe into International waters, playing in France, Marrakesh, Sharm el Sheikh, Ibiza and Corfu!

Not satisfied with rocking the dance floor with other people’s productions, SugarShaker very quickly realised that she needed to produce her own material in order to be taken seriously in the music industry. So she hooked up with the talented Leeroy K - who is also one half of LnM Projekt - and got straight down to the nitty gritty, with their first track ‘On my way’, which was also written and performed by SugarShaker, being signed to the mighty Hoxton Whores’ label Whorehouse - it hit number 20 in the Beatport charts in it’s first week of release and stayed in the charts for a good few weeks - plus the vinyl was also sold in all good record stores all over the world - done in true SugarShaker style!
Since then the duo have had a further track signed to American label ‘Metronix’ and have another 5 tunes in the pipeline so things are about to hot up over the next 12 months when hopefully all the tracks will have been released and SugarShaker will have truly made her mark on the industry!

Apart from the deep passion for House music that SugarShaker has, she also truly believes that the art of being a good DJ comes down, not only to tune selection and technical ability but also to the connection that the DJ has with the people on the dance floor - if you don’t get that connection, there may as well be a CD playing through a stereo - it’s the people that make the music - and the night and that is something which is always at the forefront of SugarShakers’ mind, so if you get the chance to see this lady spin a few tunes in a club near you, expect it to rock, from beginning to end!
