how do you think most big events started?? by startin small and not really bein well known.. they didnt just become huge after 1 nite did they? x

Just to point out that i wasn't trying to knock the promotion by my comments, not at all, im all for new promotions and supporting the scene, i also agree with Dan. I am mearly trying to offer a general punters point of view. If my mate banged on about a night or he was playing /ran it then of course i'd go, just like you guys will do. BUT if you're looking for more punters from outside (ie: no friends who regular the night/play at the night/promote the night), you have to understand the views as expressed by myself and Breamo. You need something to entice them in in order for them to find out how great the night is.

Good luck guys, i honestly mean that. I'll come check you out next month.

Right I had to say a few words in response to those that think £10 is too much to pay for a unknown, untested "nite out". I have been raving in one form or another since 1988 probably longer than you doubters have been alive. Names mean nothing to me. I dont care if its Tiesto, Boy George or anyone in between. The atmosphere, the crowd, the music and the philosophy are much more important to me from where i'm stomping. I hate commercial rip-off clubs that over charge you for everything, turn off the taps in the toilets so they can make more money from drinks. These clubs come laden with over zealous security guards that infringe your freedom and diminish your levels of relaxation to an extent where its not relaxed and as the "names" are playing this often encourages all sorts of pretenders and amateurs to the venue, who basically have little or no idea what clubbing is meant to be about. They are there just for the names rather than the vibe.
An Oops "Nite Out" is a warming, welcoming, accepting vibe, the music in my opinion is excellent, the crowd knowledgeable and very experienced. There is no hint of a negative atmosphere or any people with issues or chips on their shoulder. Safe, sound and ultra special. You wont find many promotions like an Oops "nite out" Go off to your headlining clubs if you want and waste your money on the overt commercialism. I will sit and laugh at you for being so stuck up and ignorant. I know where i would rather be and for £10 believe me its cheap for what you get. I prefer substance over wannabe superstars. Atmosphere over attention seekers anyday. LONG LIVE OOPS!!!!
