How to suggest photos for the front page...

The best photos we get uploaded are listed on the front page. You can use this group to suggest photos. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Join this group first.
  2. Go to the photo you want to suggest.
  3. Type a caption in to the comment box, and click the "Show advanced options..." tick-box.
  4. Click "Start a NEW topic in a group:" and choose "Top photo suggestions" from the group drop-down.
  5. Send your message and it'll appear here.
We'll put the best suggestions on the front page!

If you want to get all the top photo suggestions in your inbox, click the "Watch all new topics in this group" button on the group chat page.

Ive always wondered how to do this, I remember back in the day when it was a close knit community on dsi and Im sure I once got my pic on the front page!! but standards have rocketed up now, gonna have to put ma BA (hons) in Photography into good use ;o).

So Ive put 5 pics in the suggestions page.

In no way am i refering to you Munkeh, but some people really do post some shit in the top photo suggestions group...and surprise surprise, they never make the homepage! I always love the pics that are chosen for the homepage, they are always quality pics, which is good...keep it that way!

i have to agree, ive suggested sum crap b4, but startin to suggest good photos now, i do get sick of sum photos that are just of fit lasses or lads tho, christ cum on keep puttin up the amazing photos that are suggested

Thanx Dave, wasnt sure how this was done either. Is there a way of re-doing a suggestion pic but still keeping all the comments?

Not as far as i know, but it doesn't REALLY matter - it's just neater that way as it makes it nicely linked to the gallery and you can see the thumbnail from your inbox. But it's not so important it's worth redoing them.

agreed.
a pretty lady doesnt automatically make a 'top photo'
for me. it's the perspective, the lighting and mood of the photograph that has
'what it takes '
to make a
'great top photo'
