He would of went all the way to the top!!!!!

He fought a pro in Waldorf and lost TWICE! Waldorf wasn't even anything special and only fought at light heavy so that pretty much nails that argument that McLean had any sort of talent at boxing.

I would also back a top Mix Martial Artist over a top Boxer every day of the week.

A top boxer wouldn't win an MMA fight against a top MMA fighter but then an MMA fighter wouldn't win a boxing match against a boxer in all probability. Different sports, in a street fight it's impossible to predict because anything can happen and ultimately the first decent blow landed of any description would be likely to determine that outcome of the fight.

Whenever a boxer has tried their hand at MMA it's been a resounding failure and vice versa!

in a street fight

This is what I was basing my argument on. There are all sorts of obstacles around and Lenny would only need to corner Lee once. Lee would need to land a number of blows to have the same effect. Also, as has been pointed out, there is a huge difference in comparrison to the vids. Lenny would not have been that slow in his day. Nowhere near as slow.

Would a skilled boxer beat a skilled martial artist with no grappling? No, I don't think so. The boxer has to look out for 4 blows the martial artist only has to look at the boxers 2. I see broken legs.

An average street is wider than the octagon. And clearly it is the smaller, more agile guy who would take advantage of obstacles. I mean the man can jump and head kick someone 7ft2. You think a bin on the streets is gonna get in his way?

You don't pick to have street fight in a big street. They happen in bars, alleys etc.

"Let's settle this outside."

I would argue most fights happen outside bars and clubs. At least from my experience and what I've witnessed. Alley ways are not proper street fights, that's an ambush. In which case you might as well just use a gun.

Toughie to call, one thing I do know is that Russ1001 would bury them both utilising the 16:32 to Gerrards cross...

"Let's sort this outside."

Someone suggested this to me once. I laughed in his face. What a ridiculously outdated idea.

I think alot of kids growing up would admire Bruce Lee over Lenny, and so they should!
I'd be cheering on Bruce!!
Bruce would kill him if he mocked, kung fu! lol.

"What's your style?"
"The art of fighting without fighting!"

The point of going out side is so you don't get interrupted by security etc. I think Lee and McLean are no a couple of drunk yobs just sprawling out at a bar. Martial artist would have enough mutual repsect to have a clean fair fight without interruptions. Even at a bar they would clear a space for a fight.

Not that I've been in many fights but every time it's outside. Granted inside trouble does happen, but never escalate enough to a fight before security jumps in. Every fight I've witnessed are outside.

Indeed. Thats whats funny. Logistically planning an actual fight. Not a wrestle with a mate or general silly buggers but.. We have had a disagreement, let us adjourn to a more private spot where we can continue this physically. Thats backward.

Anyway, the dude who said it to me was at a house party. No security. So it was just shame. Probably didn't want to lamp me infront of a room full of girls as he'd be the bad guy.

Who would win in a street street?

Let's take the street out of the equation.

Genius.

To have a "street fight" you don't need to be standing on the street. Mensa

Street fights on streets; bar brawls in a bars... It's not rocket science.

You are using the exceptions rather than the norms to define your rules.
