TV Psychic - Maddies Dead (ws)
I don't know who's worse, the psychic, the Sun for publishing or the Telegraph for jumping on the bandwagon......

telegraph.co.uk

The medium, who has allegedly “sickened” the McCann family with his predictions, said the little girl would soon be reincarnated after joining the “spirit world”.

Mr Acorah, 62, said: “I know her parents are convinced Maddie is alive and I’m really sorry – but the little one has been over in the spirit world for some time.”

In a bizarre interview, based on information Mr Acorah claimed he had received from a spirit guide, he told the Sun newspaper: “I don’t think it’ll be long before she reincarnates.

“When children pass over who haven’t had full lives I believe they choose the time to come back in the same form again – as another little girl.”

The newspaper quoted a source close to the McCann family as saying: “Kate and Gerry are sickened. This character Derek Acorah is nothing but a self-publicist.

A spokesman for the couple added: “Kate and Gerry believe their daughter is alive and the Metropolitan Police are currently pursuing an investigation to that effect.

“If anyone credible has any credible evidence that she is alive they would come forward.”

Mr Acorah, who used to host television show “Most Haunted”, added he was surprised his comments had upset Madeleine’s family.

“I would hate to offend or upset the McCanns as a parent myself,” he said.

He has claimed he received his information from a spirit messenger called Sam, shortly after Madeleine vanished from a Portugal holiday resort five years ago.

He said he had been asked to travel there to assist with the search, but had contacted Sam to seek guidance before leaving.

He said: “I sat in my meditation room and I asked the spirit world and Sam confirmed she was dead. It is horrible but he said there was no purpose for me to go there.”

Mr Acorah added he did not travel to the Praia da Luz resort to spare the McCann family any unnecessary suffering.

“I wasn’t going to bring extra misery to them,” he said. “I do know that they will find out what happened to Maddie one day.”

Mr Acorah, who made his comments to the Sun while promoting his latest tour, is proclaimed “without question, the number one television psychic in the UK” on his website.

He rose to fame on “Most Haunted”, where he would communicate with spirits, before moving on to present “Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns”.

The McCann family, who have released a photograph showing what they believe their daughter looks like now on the fifth anniversary of her disappearance, hope a new police investigation will allow them to finally discovery what happened.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything from news etc about surveillance around the apartment they were in? Surely there would have been some security cameras at key points and she or the abductor would have crossed its path?

I'm no sleuth Mr Page, but I think they might have checked that already...

Ha ha ha, piss takers ;) You guys both soooo funny, good on you! Anyhow, swiftly moving on though . . .

Most apartments I’ve stayed din have had security cameras on the premises, not tones and tones George Orwell style but covering entrances / exits, that sort of thing. I was asking if there was ever any news reported of suspicious people or people exiting the building with small children. I never really followed the story as I don't give a pooh pooh about it or them . . . .

I haven't followed the story either, although I seem to remember a report of a witness seeing someone leaving the property carrying a young child in their arms around the time in question...

They believed there was no risk to the children, because children don't get taken from holiday apartments.

Then they're idiots. You wouldn't leave a child that young home alone whilst you went out drinking, why would you do it in foreign hotel? I'm sorry, it is their fault for not being responsible parents, and they should be given time and space to grieve, instead of constantly forcing it in our faces and earning a living off their own stupidity and poor parenting. They deserved sympathy originally, everyone makes mistakes, but their constant barrage of Maddie nonsense is actually quite sickening now. Did anyone hear someone slag off Princess Di yesterday..?!

I agree - apart from the fact that they killed her and covered it up, they're completely blameless.
I originally thought one of them might have accidentally snuffed her out and covered it up, but not told the other...

Yeah, that's it, that's what I was asking about. Even so an image like that isn't really something I'd expect them to be able to follow up on. It would just possibly contribute to weeding out the conspiracy theory that her parents killed her.

Hold there though, they were and still are middle class. My interpretation of middle class chaps and chapettes are people with a bit of wedge, not millions but a nice bit and can afford nice holidays which would have made me think they'd be a nice place which could go for some cameras here and there, from what can fathom they were not holidaying at the same apartments as the lads from the Inbetweeners.

Sorry, apparently I buried my point as well as they did Maddie. It's something else people/the media need to just get over and let lie. Stop constantly bringing it up and throwing in people's faces, especially when there's no new evidence and it's all speculation, superstition and blind loyalty.

Is this the same couple who didn't want to fork out the extra to take their kids on holiday to a child friendly resort (with things like a baby sitting facility while you go out and get levered with your mates)?

Not sure of their employment status though practising GPs earn on average around £150,000 per year. At least their was a national contract negotiated around that sum in recent years. I do remember reading that the wife was a doctor and her salary was somewhere around £100,000.

It was a Mark Warner resort, they are designed for children I thought?
