At my office, and I'm sure in most offices, when its someone's birthday they bring in cakes or sweets or something which they put on their desk for everyone to come and pick at over the day. A perfectly normal bit of tradition.. what I find funny and a bit sad is that nearly everyone who approaches the desk says something along the lines of 'Oooh, this is naughty, I really shouldn't you know!'

It doesn't matter if they are fat or thin, gym freak or frail old biddy, its the same sort of cheeky rebellious attitude. My point is how pathetic does your life have to be when a miniature doughnut is considered 'naughty'.

'My self estime/body image is so low that I shouldn't allow myself this tiny bit of pleasure'

Its basically saying I'm fat but I'm going to eat it anyway. Why the guilt? Why not just enjoy life?
