This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).
For a week each August, an island in the Danube at the north side of Budapest is converted into the biggest festival in Central Europe. Former shipyards at the southern end of Obudai Island are transformed with tents, stages, sound systems, campsites, showers and a travelling funfair into a festival paradise for people of all ages and nationalities. The festival attracts a young, hip crowd to the traffic-free island which each year welcomes 385,000 visitors. With hundreds events taking place at 30 different sites, tents and stages, festivalgoers are guaranteed a week to remember. Ok, who's up for some more inter-European madcap tomfoolery and other such associated paraphenalia?
