'John O’Callaghan is one of the most exciting producers in the world today’- Paul Van Dyk, 2007. John O’Callaghan’s rapid rise to fame upwards through the ranks of world’s DJ/producer elite has been nothing short of meteoric. He has stamped his authority on the global Trance community over the past 18 months; emerging as one of the most prolific authorities in one of the most competitive scenes in the industry. Having long since won favour with the scenes major players through a catalogue of ground breaking releases & exceptional DJ performances; John emerges in 2007 as one of the Trance scenes leading talents & at the forefront of a new generation of artists pushing the genre into new dimensions. After so many colossal releases and remixes for acclaimed labels such as Discover, Vandit, Armada, Euphonic & Galactive, there is no arguing that John O’Callaghan is one of the most in demand producers in the world right now. Through both his solo releases and production partnerships he has flexed his production muscles on leading UK imprint Discover – delivering monster remixes and enormous singles such as “The Chamber”, “Restricted Motion”, and “Exactly”; which was one of the biggest tracks of 2006 and has already achieved classic status within one year of its release. 2007 was the year when John released his eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Something to Live For’. The album received critical acclaim from all corners of the globe and was described as “pure genius” by Discover label boss John Askew. In the first half of 2007 John was asked by none other than Paul van Dyk to remix for his world renowned Vandit label. Van Dyk was so impressed with John's massive remix of "Thomas Bronzwaer – Constellation " that he immediately asked John to remix Filo & Peri's "Anthem" as well. Both remixes are being touted as two of the best tracks of 2007 and look set to be essential trance anthems for the summer. Following that, John has just finished what is believed to be one of the biggest vocal tracks in recent years. “Big Sky” (featuring Audrey Gallagher) has been tipped for anthem status and is sure to firmly establish John as one of the key forces in the scene. #2 DJ in the world Armin van Buuren was “totally in love” with John’s first vocal outing and immediately signed it to his own personal imprint on his Armada empire; Armind. John’s DJ performances at the back end of 2006 saw him headline events in Poland, Holland, Germany, Sweden & Cyprus between performances with UK heavyweights Crasher, The Gallery, Good Greef & Inside Out where he recorded the next installment of Discovers “Live As” compilation series. His year was rounded off in style after 5 entries in the DJ Mag Top 100 cited him as their major tip for 2007 (more than any other DJ in the poll) & a further 3 cited him as their favourite producer of the year. As if this wasn’t enough John was voted #38 in the world’s biggest trance site DJ Poll; Tranceaddict, climbing 115 places! 2007 will undoubtedly be John’s biggest year to date with booking enquires coming from every country imaginable & a road blocked schedule taking him beyond the summer into winter. In early 2007 John has been firmly back on home soil with bookings throughout some of the biggest nights the UK & Ireland have to offer with his “Something to Live For” Album Tour stopping off at all the major clubs & events. Meanwhile the summer sees John clock up the air miles again as his album tour goes international with stop off dates in Ibiza, Finland, Poland & Italy before full tours of South America, The Far East & Australia. But don’t just take our word for it – this is what some of the finest names in the business think about John: Paul Van Dyk: “John O’Callaghan is one of the most exciting producers in the world today.” Armin van Buuren: “I’ve been supporting John’s tracks for a long time. He’s making some great music. Everything that John O’Callaghan does works really well for me.” Tiesto: “I know a lot of John O’Callaghan’s work. He is really on fire at the moment.” John Askew: “John is without doubt one of the hottest trance producers in the world.” Matt Hardwick: “John is a true rising star who has the consistency in his production that is not matched by anyone.” Agnelli and Nelson: “John O’Callaghan will be a future worldwide star of trance.”
